Inter Milan had a dramatic match when they hosted Sassuolo in the fourth round of Serie A 2025/26. Despite being considered the underdog, the visitors started boldly and were ready to play an attacking game.
However, with their superior squad quality, Inter gradually gained the upper hand. After a few missed opportunities, the home team broke the deadlock in the 14th minute when Dimarco finished accurately from a pass by Sucic.
The goal boosted Inter's morale, and they continuously created dangerous opportunities in front of the opponent's goal. However, Sassuolo defended resolutely, and thanks to the excellent performance of goalkeeper Muric, the first half ended with a slender advantage for the home team.
After the break, Inter maintained the pressure, but Muric continued to be a reliable barrier, repeatedly denying scoring opportunities.
