Iran declares victory, US must "ask" Tehran for ceasefire

After 12 days of fierce fighting, Iran and Israel have finally reached a ceasefire. According to China News Service on June 24, citing Iran's Supreme National Security Council, a statement was issued declaring a ceasefire with "Israel and its supporters."

Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu also issued a statement, saying that he accepted the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran proposed by US President Donald Trump. The reason Iran chose the ceasefire is that Tehran has maintained “relative restraint”. This statement actually shows that Iran is the “absolutely advantageous” side and is on the winning side. But in reality, Iran has had secret connections with the US, through its partner Qatar, to implement the ceasefire.

Iran, on the other hand, has also set an ultimatum, leaving room for a ceasefire and negotiations. According to Iranian officials, if Israel stops its attacks by 4 a.m. on June 24, Iran will not retaliate. This diplomatic rhetoric further allows Iran to control the situation.
