According to the US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), old TP-Link routers are being exploited by hackers to carry out cyber attacks. The critical vulnerability with code CVE-2023-33538 with score 8.8/10 has been exploited in the wild.
Affected models include TL-WR940N V2/V4, TL-WR841N V8/V10, and TL-WR740N V1/V2. All of these models are end-of-life and no longer receive security updates from TP-Link.
An attacker only needs to send a specially crafted HTTP request to take control of the device. CISA recommends that users stop using and replace old routers immediately. Vulnerabilities of this type are especially dangerous if the device has remote access over the Internet.
To ensure safety, users should update the firmware or invest in a new router with good security. Dear readers, please watch more videos : The "borrowing face" trick of the gambling and money laundering ring worth thousands of billions of dong | VTV24
