ITE HCMC 2025: Strategic connection between Vietnam and the global tourism market

In the context of Ho Chi Minh City merging with Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau, with the same orientation to become a megacity, Ho Chi Minh City International Travel Fair - ITE HCMC 2025 will contribute significantly to the development of tourism in the city in particular and the country in general.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism announced that the Ho Chi Minh City International Travel Fair - ITE HCMC 2025 will officially take place from September 4-6, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC - Tan My Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).

This is the 19th time the event has been held, marking the steady development of ITE HCMC on its journey to becoming an influential international tourism promotion platform in the Mekong region and Asia.

ITE HCMC 2025 defines the strategic vision of Vietnam's tourism industry in general and Ho Chi Minh City tourism in particular as developing sustainable tourism: Not only based on economic benefits but also in harmony with cultural, social and environmental values; not only raising awareness of sustainable tourism but also paying attention to creatively building new products and services, meeting the strict and diverse needs of the international and domestic tourist market for green tourism and sustainable tourism.

In addition, the event will pioneer in encouraging businesses and localities to focus on introducing unique and distinctive tourism products with vivid experiences that impress international buyers towards Vietnam as a destination in the near future.

According to statistics, as of August 8, there were more than 250 exhibitors and 240 international buyers confirmed to attend from international corporations. Not only are there partners from many strategic and familiar markets such as the US, Australia, China, India, Singapore, etc., but ITE HCMC 2025 also attracts the attention of new markets such as Poland, Denmark, Qatar, Brazil and Portugal - markets that provide high-end international visitors for Vietnam tourism.

Not only a meeting place for tourism trade, at ITE HCMC, experts, managers, and businesses will share knowledge and update new development trends of the tourism industry in the digital and green era.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa - Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, said that in the context of the tourism industry promoting restructuring, optimizing resources and strengthening connections for sustainable development, ITE HCMC 2025 plays a key role in strategically connecting Vietnam and the global tourism market.

"This year's international buyer program is not only expanded in scale but also carefully selected, targeting potential markets, in line with the orientation of attracting high-quality, high-spending visitors. ITE HCMC continues to be an effective and economical promotion strategy, helping businesses and localities promote destinations, while affirming the position of Ho Chi Minh City as a center of integration, innovation and leading regional tourism", Ms. Anh Hoa emphasized.
