According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Tham, Director of the City Tourism Promotion Center, during the peak period from December 2025 to February 2026, there are expected to be an average of 140 - 142 flights to and from Da Nang every day due to the sharp increase in international tourism demand in key markets such as South Korea, Japan, Singapore and the Philippines, thanks to the Christmas and New Year holidays.
This is also the time when the city promotes tourism promotion and market connection activities, especially in Northeast Asian and Southeast Asian countries, which are markets with high flight frequency and tourism demand during the year-end holiday season.
In 2026, the city's tourism industry aims to open 1-2 more international routes to Chu Lai airport, while maintaining and expanding the network of international routes and airlines to Da Nang.
In addition, the city will increase connections with international visitors through domestic flights, to promote tourism growth and expand the international visitor market to the Central region.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Tham said this will be a "key lever" to help Da Nang's tourism industry achieve its growth targets by 2026.
Specifically, the number of guests staying in 2026 is expected to reach 19.5 million (up 12% compared to 2025). Of which, international visitors are estimated to reach more than 8.9 million (up 17%), and domestic visitors are about 10.6 million (up 8% compared to the same period in 2025).
Total revenue from accommodation, food and tourism in 2026 is expected to reach more than VND71,000 billion, equivalent to an increase of 19% over the previous year.
