Da Nang adds 200 billion VND to loans for people affected by floods

DNO - On the morning of November 11, at the 4th session, the City People's Council approved the policy of adding VND200 billion in loans to restore production and business, and stabilize the lives of people in areas affected by recent natural disasters.

This fund is supplemented by capital entrusted from the city budget through the City Branch of the Bank for Social Policies (CSXH).

According to the City People's Committee, as of October 2025, the total capital entrusted from the city budget through the Social Policy Bank Branch of Da Nang City (after merging the 2 Social Policy Bank Branches of Da Nang City and Quang Nam Province) reached 3,589 billion VND.

Of which, disbursement of loans for policy credit programs reached 3,508 billion VND (98%).

In 2025, the total capital entrusted through the City Branch of the Social Policy Bank is 400 billion VND, of which Quang Nam province (old) is 170 billion VND, Da Nang city (old) is 230 billion VND.

In the first 10 months of 2025, the City Bank for Social Policies Branch lent VND 4,377 billion to 60,283 poor households and other policy beneficiaries.

Of which, the loan amount from the city budget's entrusted capital source reached 1,289 billion VND for 17,360 poor households and other policy beneficiaries.

The recent floods caused property damage to many poor households and other policy beneficiaries in the city. Through review, the number of customers borrowing capital from the Social Policy Bank in the city affected is about 26,900 households with the current outstanding debt of more than 1,066 billion VND.

In order to supplement capital for people to borrow to restore production, business and stabilize their lives after the impact of natural disasters, and at the same time meet the borrowing needs of workers in job creation, the City Branch of the Bank for Social Policies proposed to supplement the entrusted capital with an amount of 200 billion VND.

At the meeting, the City People's Council discussed and unanimously approved the policy according to the proposal of the City People's Committee, supplementing the capital entrusted through the Social Policy Bank Branch of Da Nang City in 2025 with 200 billion VND in the form of internal transfer from the 2025 public investment capital plan allocated to works and projects with slow disbursement up to now.
