At the meeting, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Ngo Xuan Thang thanked Chargé d'Affaires Chu Thu Thang and the Vietnamese Embassy in Switzerland for welcoming and supporting the delegation during the working trip.
Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Ngo Xuan Thang informed about the heavy damage caused by floods, affecting the lives of people in the Central region in general and Da Nang city in particular; at the same time, he introduced an overview of development potential, socio -economic situation in the first 9 months of 2025 and development orientation of Da Nang in the coming time.
Accordingly, after merging with Quang Nam province, the new Da Nang city has an area of nearly 12,000 km² with a population of more than 3 million people.
The city owns two international airports, three international seaports, two world cultural heritages (Hoi An Ancient Town and My Son Sanctuary), Da Nang High-Tech Park, Chu Lai Open Economic Zone, along with many industrial parks and special mechanisms of the Central Government, creating a favorable foundation for Da Nang to strengthen international cooperation, attract investment, trade, tourism, science and technology and innovation.

In the first 9 months of 2025, Da Nang's socio-economic development will be stable, aiming for a growth target of nearly 10% this year.
The city's priority economic sectors for development include: seaports, aviation and logistics; high-tech industry and creative urban areas, startups; information technology, electronics, telecommunications and digital economy; high-tech agriculture and fisheries.
The city is focusing on attracting investment in new technology fields such as semiconductors, electronic chips, artificial intelligence (AI), etc., fields in which European countries, including Switzerland, have strengths.
Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Ngo Xuan Thang said that on November 3-4, 2025, the city coordinated with the Swiss Embassy and the Swiss-Vietnam Economic Forum to successfully organize the Swiss-Vietnam Economic Forum 2025 in Da Nang, attracting about 300 delegates.
On this occasion, the delegation would like to express its gratitude and invite Chargé d'Affaires Chu Thu Hang to attend the Seminar "Da Nang - New Destination for Fintech and Green Finance in Vietnam", scheduled to be held on the morning of November 12, 2025 in Zurich, organized by the City People's Committee in coordination with the Swiss Fintech Association and the Association of Young Vietnamese Entrepreneurs in Europe.

Chargé d'Affaires Chu Thu Hang and the Vietnamese Embassy in Switzerland welcomed and congratulated the delegation on their visit and work in Switzerland as well as at the Embassy.
Ms. Chu Thu Hang shared the losses suffered by Da Nang people during the recent floods; at the same time, she also expressed her joy at the strong development of Da Nang city, especially the Central Government's attention, facilitation and issuance of many specific mechanisms and policies for the city - notably the implementation of the International Financial Center and Free Trade Zone.
With new potentials and advantages after Da Nang was merged and expanded, the city is opening up many attractive opportunities for foreign businesses to learn and invest.
In the coming time, Ms. Chu Thu Hang and the Vietnamese Embassy in Switzerland will continue to act as a bridge, introducing Swiss enterprises to Vietnam in general and Da Nang in particular to explore cooperation and investment opportunities, especially in areas related to the International Financial Center and Free Trade Zone. Thereby, contributing to promoting the dynamic development of the city.
