Intimate atmosphere - fresh approach
Although it was the first time the program was organized, it attracted more than 50 enterprises, cooperatives and business households in the commune to participate. There was no longer an administrative gap between the "government" and "enterprises", instead there was an open and sincere atmosphere. Each person brought their story, their concerns, and their desire to find solutions to develop production, expand investment, and stabilize output for local agricultural products.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dien, Chairman of Long Hung Commune People's Committee, said: "After implementing the 2-level local government model, we are very pleased to organize the "Connecting Coffee" program. This is an opportunity for the government to directly listen to businesses share difficulties in the process of operation, especially regarding administrative procedures, land, and credit. Thereby, the locality can study and promptly remove them, creating a more open environment for businesses to develop sustainably."
According to Mr. Dien, Long Hung currently has 44 companies, 19 private enterprises and nearly 1,000 small and medium-sized businesses and trading establishments. The locality is focusing on promoting the development of a 52-hectare industrial cluster; simplifying administrative procedures, encouraging investment and improving the quality of service to people and businesses.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dien, Chairman of Long Hung Commune People's Committee ( Can Tho City), spoke at the "Connecting Coffee" program.
Mr. Tran Van Ngon, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director of Thanh Ngon Hung Phu Medicinal Materials Production Cooperative, affirmed: “The Long Hung Commune People's Committee organized a very good and meaningful coffee connection session. This approach is close, helping businesses to be listened to, shared, and especially to receive attention from the government to help remove difficulties. Currently, the Cooperative is in great need of support in terms of machinery and equipment, as well as completing legal documents for products to expand production scale.”
Similarly, many other businesses and cooperatives also recommended that localities plan to expand production land, support linkages in agricultural product consumption, establish new cooperatives, create favorable conditions for loans, and pay attention to investing and upgrading rural transport infrastructure to facilitate the transportation of goods.
Share - accompany
After more than 4 months of operating under the 2-level local government model, Long Hung has achieved many positive results: budget revenue exceeded 126% of the target, many effective agricultural production models such as growing MD2 pineapple, tangerine, high-quality rice... were expanded; some production areas were granted growing area codes for export. At the same time, infrastructure and rural transportation continued to be invested in, gradually changing the local appearance.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dien, Chairman of Long Hung Commune People's Committee, emphasized: "Connecting coffee is not only a regular meeting, but also a commitment to accompany. The goal is to work with businesses to overcome difficulties, develop production, attract investment, create jobs, and contribute to promoting local socio -economic development."
At the end of the program, handshakes, friendly smiles, and promises of “see you again at the next coffee session” resounded in the warm atmosphere. Mr. Tran Van Ngon, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director of Thanh Ngon Hung Phu Medicinal Herbs Production Cooperative, said: “In just the morning, many things were raised and were all acknowledged and shared by the commune leaders with the businesses. Sometimes, a small cup of coffee opens up great opportunities for businesses, cooperatives and local authorities.”

Mr. Tran Van Ngon, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director of Thanh Ngon Hung Phu Medicinal Materials Production Cooperative, exchanged opinions at the program "Connecting Coffee".
The “Connecting Coffee” program of Long Hung commune is not only a meeting place, but also an open forum - where the government listens to understand, shares to accompany. From simple conversations over a cup of coffee, the government and businesses have found a common voice, together aiming to build a dynamic, friendly Long Hung, attractive to investors - for the sustainable development of the locality.
