According to a VNA reporter in Washington, together with the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism , 18 leading Vietnamese tourism, hotel and airline businesses participated in B2B (business-to-business) meetings, connecting with hundreds of US travel businesses, associations, airlines and media agencies.
Many US partners highly appreciate Vietnam's tourism potential, expressing their desire to cooperate in expanding new flight routes and tourism products, and at the same time promoting Vietnamese destinations in the North American market.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa Mai, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, affirmed that with the message "Vietnam - The world of experiences and outstanding values", Vietnam wishes to bring American tourists rich and unique experiences, combining heritage - culture - cuisine - resorts and high-quality tourism products.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa Mai emphasized that since the normalization of diplomatic relations, tourism has become one of the most important bridges, not only in terms of economy, but also in terms of culture and people-to-people exchange, helping people of the two countries understand each other more deeply. The US is currently one of Vietnam's leading key tourism markets with nearly 623,000 visitors to Vietnam in the first 9 months of 2025.
In an interview with VNA, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa Mai said that the US is not only a market with a large number of visitors to Vietnam but also has a very high spending power and a long stay, usually up to 12 days. Therefore, this is one of the target markets that the tourism industry is aiming for to boost the number of international tourists to Vietnam, while contributing to the country's GDP growth.

At the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to the US Nguyen Quoc Dung affirmed that the relationship between Vietnam and the US has never been as strong as it is today. The year 2025 is a special milestone in bilateral relations: 50 years since the end of the war and 30 years since the two countries normalized diplomatic relations.
According to Ambassador Nguyen Quoc Dung, over the past three decades, the two countries have made remarkable progress in all fields. From former enemies in the past, Vietnam and the US have become friends, partners, and now Comprehensive Strategic Partners. Currently, Vietnam is the 8th largest trade partner of the US and is also an attractive investment destination with nearly 1,500 projects of US businesses operating in Vietnam.
In addition, approximately 2.5 million Vietnamese Americans and more than 30,000 Vietnamese students studying in the United States are a living bridge of friendship, connecting the two peoples. The growing relationship and special history between the two countries are a solid foundation for expanding tourism cooperation and people-to-people exchanges.

The 2025 Vietnam Tourism Promotion Program in the US includes events taking place in Washington (November 4), New York (November 6) and Boston (November 10). At each location, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism introduces new products, policies and destinations of Vietnam, focusing on types of tourism that are of interest to the US market such as beach resort tourism, golf tourism, MICE tourism (tourism combining conferences, seminars, incentives and exhibitions), health care tourism, heritage tourism and culinary tourism.
Traditional Vietnamese art performances and cultural and tourism exhibitions also gave guests beautiful impressions of the country and people of Vietnam. Through business networking, cultural exchange and international communication, the program opened up many new cooperation opportunities, contributing to strengthening the friendship and understanding between the two peoples.
