Plan to organize activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just issued Plan No. 128/KH-UBND on organizing activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Public Security Traditional Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025) in the province.

The organization of commemorative activities aims to continue affirming the correct and wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh in determining the policy of protecting national security, building the Vietnam People's Public Security Force (VPS); summarizing, evaluating and recognizing the results of 20 years of implementing the National Day for National Security Protection (VPS), building the People's Security posture in the new situation. At the same time, it is necessary to widely propagate and educate cadres and people about the glorious historical tradition of 80 years of building, fighting and growing of the Vietnam People's Public Security Force and Thanh Hoa Provincial Public Security, especially the outstanding achievements and feats in working, fighting and building the force. Thereby educating revolutionary ideals, fostering the will of national pride and self-respect, the quality of "forgetting oneself for the country, serving the people" of the Vietnam People's Public Security Force; Promote the responsibility of the political system in leading, directing, coordinating, and participating in ensuring security and order.

The Provincial People's Committee requests departments, branches, organizations, and armed forces to coordinate and organize commemorative activities to ensure solemnity, practicality, thoughtfulness, safety, and economy.

In particular, the Provincial Police proactively issued plans to implement commemorative activities and organize celebrations in the province; built a traditional film "Thanh Hoa Police - 80 years of a glorious journey"; specialized reports reflecting the process of building, fighting, and growing up of Thanh Hoa Police; coordinated with the Provincial Newspaper and Radio - Television Station and Central press agencies to build specialized pages, columns, report news, and propaganda articles about the event (implemented from now until August 2025). Organize political activities, traditional education, and talks to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day, the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (implemented regularly until the end of August 2025)...

The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department directs propaganda about the glorious tradition of 80 years of building, fighting and growing of the Vietnam People's Public Security Force and Thanh Hoa Provincial Public Security; Instructs press agencies to strengthen propaganda about events and commemorative activities, policies, measures and results of security and order work in the province (implemented regularly, focusing on July and August 2025); directs to grasp the situation on cyberspace, promptly combat and refute wrong, hostile, distorted views, denying the position, role and contributions of the People's Public Security Force in the cause of security and order.

As planned, the celebration is expected to be held on August 8, 2025, at Thanh Hoa City Convention Center, Nguyen Hoang Avenue, Dong Hai Ward, Thanh Hoa City.
