At the end of August, after nearly 2 months of implementing the 2-level local government, Quang Ninh continued to start and launch many key and dynamic projects, which play a particularly important role in promoting socio-economic development. With the goal of allowing all Quang Ninh people to enjoy the results of development, focusing on solutions to quickly narrow the regional gap, the province continued to start and launch many transport infrastructure projects in the highland areas.
Typical examples include the project to renovate and upgrade provincial road 330, from Ba Che to provincial road 342 with a total investment of 990 billion VND; the project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 4B through Quang Ninh province with a total capital of 1,800 billion VND; the project to connect National Highway 279 through Tinh Yeu bridge intersection to Binh Minh bridge approach with a total capital of 2,860 billion VND... Along with that, dozens of projects are being included by localities in the new medium-term public investment plan with a value of up to thousands of billion VND.
These are all particularly important traffic routes to synchronize technical infrastructure, connect highland and delta areas, promote connectivity, link forward regions, create new spaces and conditions for attracting investment, promoting tourism development, developing production, improving income and people's lives. Traffic infrastructure will meet the requirements of interconnection, overall, forming a smooth and convenient traffic network, not only perfecting intra-commune traffic infrastructure but also connecting inter-commune, inter-regional with economic, political , cultural center wards, border gates... of the province, connecting with key traffic axes such as highways, seaports, airports...
During the implementation process, Quang Ninh always prioritizes effectively exploiting the specific and distinct advantages of each locality, which are communes, villages, and hamlets in mountainous, border, and island ethnic minority areas in the new period. This creates a comprehensive resource and focuses on leadership, direction, and operation of the new government apparatus after implementing the two-level government to promote comprehensive development of health, education, and training associated with job creation and income increase; restructuring the agricultural sector, developing substantially and sustainably in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries, increasing value, innovating the structure of crops and livestock, and advantageous products of each region to develop highly competitive commodity agriculture associated with improving the quality of OCOP products, continuing to ensure social security, and sustainable poverty reduction.
Comrade Le Huu Nghia, Chairman of Quang La commune, said: Implementing a two-level government, Quang La was merged with the original status of Quang La, Dan Chu, Bang Ca, Tan Dan communes of Ha Long city (formerly), ethnic minorities accounted for more than 72%, mainly Dao people. To create a breakthrough in development in the new stage, the commune is currently building a plan and reporting to the province to continue to prioritize investment and synchronous development of traffic infrastructure in the area. Specifically, it is proposed to deploy main roads connecting Dan Chu and Bang Ca areas parallel to National Highway 279 to gradually plan new land funds, attract investment and expand production development in the area. In addition, renovate and expand National Highway 279 to create connections with Bac Ninh province and Uong Bi, Hoanh Bo, and Ha Long wards to form logistics centers to supply raw materials, warehouses, and transportation for production in industrial parks. This is a great opportunity for Quang La to gradually overcome difficulties, promote land area, and contribute to the overall development of the province.
With the province's policies, resources and attention, the mountainous and disadvantaged areas of the province continue to have clear changes and transformations in all fields. Since then, models and projects supporting production development continue to be strongly implemented, helping people change production methods towards goods, increase income, and narrow the gap between regions.
