(QBĐT) - Production linkage is the key to building and developing agriculture in a sustainable direction. Therefore, Quang Ninh district has focused on integrating agricultural support policies to help farmers and cooperatives build production linkage models according to the value chain.
Increase agricultural value
For many years, Ta Phan Agricultural, Commercial and Tourism Service Production and Trading Cooperative has been linking lotus products for farmers in Duy Ninh commune. Production according to the chain link (CLK) not only helps ensure stable output but also increases product value and income.
Director of the Cooperative Le Duy Trinh said that the unit has built the lotus CLK since 2023. Participating in the CLK, the Cooperative directly supplies seeds, provides technical support and consumes products for lotus-growing households in the area with an area of over 10 hectares. Each year, the Cooperative purchases and sells more than 30 tons of lotus to the market, bringing in an income of over 1 billion VND. The Cooperative currently supplies the market with 4 lotus products, including: fresh lotus seeds, dried lotus seeds, lotus tea and lotus heart tea. The Cooperative's products are currently sold at clean agricultural product stores in the province and supplied to traders to send to provinces and cities across the country. Currently, the Cooperative has 2 products recognized as 3-star OCOP: fresh lotus seeds and dried lotus seeds.

The CLK model is increasingly attracting people's attention because of the positive effects it brings, especially in cooperatives and cooperative groups (THT). In order to help people feel secure in production, save costs, achieve productivity, quality and gain high economic efficiency, Minh Trung Agricultural Production and Service Cooperative, Gia Ninh commune has coordinated with enterprises to implement a linkage and product consumption model with an area of over 100 hectares. Director of the Cooperative Truong Van Le said that by participating in the CLK, people only focus on production, the Cooperative coordinates with enterprises to supply seeds, agricultural materials, provide technical guidance and consume products for people. During the production process, people always comply with management and care, prevent pests and diseases according to technical instructions, so the crops grow well and have high productivity. When harvesting, the joint enterprise organizes the purchase of fresh rice right in the field, saving people the trouble of transporting, drying and preserving rice. Participating in rice production according to the value chain not only protects the environment, protects the health of farmers and consumers, but also links to improve the production value chain in a safe and sustainable direction.
Sustainable Development
Agricultural production according to value chains is a sustainable direction to help improve economic efficiency and income for farmers. In recent years, Quang Ninh district has implemented many solutions, contributing to improving the efficiency of value chains in agricultural production, contributing to increasing income for people.
The district currently has 50 agricultural service and rural industry cooperatives. To form CLK, agricultural cooperatives in the district have actively encouraged member households to accumulate land, apply scientific and technological advances, and produce on a large scale; encourage clean agricultural production and organic agriculture; participate in the program "One Commune One Product"... Many cooperatives have strengthened links with businesses in supplying input materials and promoting and consuming products, increasing the value of goods for members.

According to Tran Van Trung, Deputy Head of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Quang Ninh district, linking production and product consumption between enterprises and people contributes to changing habits in small-scale production, towards concentrated commodity production, reducing costs and labor, facilitating the gradual mechanization of production stages, in line with the restructuring orientation of the agricultural sector. Production linkages implemented in the district are increasingly effective and are being replicated by many localities, especially rice linkages. Every year, through national target programs, the district has policies to support cooperatives in building production and product consumption linkages; encouraging and creating conditions for enterprises to link production and consumption of agricultural products for farmers. In 2024, the whole district will have over 1,000 hectares of rice implementing production linkages associated with product consumption.
| In 2025, agricultural cooperatives in Quang Ninh district will coordinate with Quang Binh Seed Company Limited, North Central Agricultural Development Investment Company Limited, Thanh Dat Agriculture and Construction Joint Stock Company, Tuan Phat Technology and Engineering Company Limited to implement 8 production and consumption contracts for rice products with an area of over 185 hectares; concentrated in the communes of Van Ninh, An Ninh, Xuan Ninh, Hien Ninh, Gia Ninh, Duy Ninh, Vinh Ninh... |
Identifying the linkage of production and consumption of products according to the value chain as a sustainable direction, Quang Ninh district encourages people to change the crop structure, promote commodity production according to the value chain, call for and attract businesses to invest in the rural agricultural sector. At the same time, promote and mobilize households to link up to establish cooperatives to create quality products, increase competitiveness in the market. Change traditional farming practices to apply science and technology, proactively link up, find markets for products, produce according to the chain, ensure product output, bring stable income to people. At the same time, continue to implement digital transformation, issue codes for growing areas, trace the origin of products, build safe and high-quality rice production areas; continue to consolidate, improve and develop cooperatives in the agricultural sector.
