Search for missing fishermen at sea

(QBĐT) - According to information from Nhat Le Border Guard Station, the provincial Border Guard is actively coordinating to search for a Quang Binh fisherman who went missing at sea while fishing.

Previously, at 2:00 p.m. on May 27, the family of fishing boat QB-91207 TS (captained by Nguyen Van Hai, born in 1986, residing in Bao Ninh, Dong Hoi City) went to Nhat Le Border Control Station (Nhat Le Border Post) to report the incident.

Nhat Le Border Guard Station coordinated with coastal border guards to notify fishing boats to assist in searching for missing crew members.

Specifically, on May 13, fishing boat QB-91207 TS, departed from Man Quang port, Da Nang city to catch seafood, with 7 crew members on board. While operating at coordinates 17°28'01"N-108°03'44"E, about 40 nautical miles northeast of Con Co island, Quang Tri province, crew member Pham The Nhan, born in 1982, residing in My Canh village, Bao Ninh commune, Dong Hoi city, unfortunately fell into the sea. The ship owner operated the ship to search but got no results, so he contacted his family to report to the authorities for search support.

Nhat Le Border Guard Station used satellite phones and voyage monitoring equipment to determine the location of the distressed crew member; at the same time, requested coastal border guards to notify fishing vessels operating near the above area to assist in searching for the missing crew member. The unit also maintained contact with the family of the fishing vessel QB-91207 TS to continue to monitor the situation.
