The historical tourism route following President Ho Chi Minh's footsteps is an activity that contributes to educating the tradition of patriotism, fostering friendship between the Vietnamese and Chinese people, and at the same time opening up a direction for sustainable development of cultural-historical tourism, associated with heritage and humanistic values.
The activity also recreates important milestones in the revolutionary journey of the beloved leader who visited Guangxi many times to find a way to save the country, build a revolutionary movement and lay the foundation for the Vietnam - China friendship.
Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Ha Vi said: "The Vietnam-China Red Friendship Journey in Guangxi following in the footsteps of President Ho Chi Minh " is a specific activity to inherit the tradition of friendship and enhance people-to-people exchange.
According to the Chinese Ambassador, Guangxi is a land that not only stands out for its beautiful natural landscapes and rich folk culture, but is also a "red address" bearing many imprints of President Ho Chi Minh's revolutionary activities.
The Ambassador said that the Chinese people sincerely welcome the Vietnamese people to Guangxi to enjoy the beauty of the mountains and rivers, experience the depth of culture and reminisce about the historical journey following in Uncle Ho's footsteps. He hoped that Guangxi and the ministries, sectors and localities of Vietnam would continue to develop their potential and promote deeper and broader cooperation.
“The Red Journey following President Ho Chi Minh’s footsteps is an initiative to realize the will of cooperation and friendship of the leaders of the two sides, deepening the feelings of the people of the two countries,” the Ambassador affirmed.

Speaking at the program, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Commission, President of the Vietnam - China Friendship Association Nguyen Hoang Anh emphasized that 2025 marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China, and is also the Year of Vietnam - China Humanitarian Exchange.
Since the beginning of the year, the two countries have had many exchange and cooperation activities in many fields, especially culture and tourism, achieving many outstanding results.
In this context, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh hopes that both sides will take advantage of the opportunity to promote friendly cooperation and a vision of stable development, continuing to deepen the good neighborly relationship.
With the role of promoting the friendship between the two countries, the Vietnam - China Friendship Association will always accompany and support the two countries to organize more cultural exchange activities, thereby deepening the friendship between the people of Vietnam and China.
Previously, on May 18, in Nanning City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China), the Opening Ceremony of the Research and Study Camp “Following in Uncle Ho’s Footsteps” took place. This is the opening activity for the program “Red Journey of Research and Study for Youth” in 2025.

During the event, the delegation will participate in meaningful activities such as: Visiting the Memorial House of Vietnamese Schools; surveying the Robot Center; participating in the China-Vietnam Border Youth Development Workshop; visiting Ho Chi Minh Communal House... This is a meaningful activity, contributing to enhancing cultural exchange and mutual understanding between the youth of the two countries, while strengthening the friendship and solidarity between the Youth Union and the young generations of the two countries.
