Tourists to Thai Nguyen during holidays increased by 20%

During the 4-day National Day holiday (from August 30 to September 2), Thai Nguyen welcomed more than 240,000 tourists, an increase of 20% over the same period in 2024. Of which, international visitors reached about 300.

Previously, to meet the needs of tourists for sightseeing and experience, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued many directives, requiring tourism businesses and units to carefully prepare facilities, improve service quality, diversify products, publicly list prices and ensure safety for tourists.

Tourist areas, attractions, and accommodation establishments simultaneously renovate their landscapes, clean up the environment, develop plans to serve customers, and commit not to increase service prices during peak seasons.

During the holiday, many large-scale cultural activities were held in the province, especially the art performance and fireworks display to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, attracting a large number of people and tourists. In addition, many communes and wards also held cultural, sports and community tourism activities, contributing to creating a vibrant and exciting atmosphere.

Accommodation and tourism services also recorded positive signals. The average room occupancy rate reached about 50%, with some hotels in the provincial center reaching 80-100% occupancy. Revenue from tourism activities in the whole province is estimated at 156 billion VND, an increase of nearly 22% over the same period in 2024.

These results continue to affirm that Thai Nguyen is becoming an attractive destination on the domestic tourism map, with great potential for breakthrough and sustainable development in the coming time.
