
The opening ceremony of the 4th Asian Para Games continues to introduce the culture of the host country China.
The opening ceremony of the 4th Asian Para Games with the theme: "Hearts Meet, Dreams Shine" lasted more than 90 minutes with the image of the Golden Osmanthus flower boldly displayed by the organizer throughout, from which 22 other groups of golden Osmanthus flowers radiate, symbolizing the 22 official sports of the Games.
Like the 19th Asian Games, the 4th Asian Para Games Opening Ceremony continued to showcase the faith and beauty of the host country China's culture through the extensive application of digital technology . The 4th Asian Para Games mascot Feifei and the torchbearer lit the main torch tower with the help of an intelligent bionic hand, symbolizing that technology is used to compensate for physical disabilities and strengthen people's belief in pursuing their dreams.

The organizers promote the integration of people with disabilities into society.
The short, concise and meaningful opening ceremony brought a lot of emotions to the audience. At the opening ceremony, the image of 72 dancers, of which 36 were in wheelchairs, dancing together, showing the touching scene of the athletes holding hands and moving forward on the journey towards their dreams. Through this, the host country demonstrated the technological advances that have been and are being applied to promote the progress and integration of People with Disabilities into the society that is developing every day.
The 4th Asian Para Games has about 3,100 athletes from 44 countries and territories competing, including about 1,100 athletes using wheelchairs and about 600 visually impaired athletes.

Swimmer Vo Thanh Tung was one of two athletes holding the flag for the Vietnam Disabled Sports Delegation at the Opening Ceremony.
At the Opening Ceremony, the Vietnam Disabled Sports Delegation marched near the end (in alphabetical order), with two swimmers, Vo Thanh Tung and Trinh Thi Bich Nhu, having the honor of being the flag bearers for the Delegation.

The Vietnamese Disabled Sports Delegation participating in the 4th Asian Para Games has 71 members, including 48 athletes (including 1 runner), competing in 7 sports, including athletics (10 athletes), swimming (9 athletes), weightlifting (4 athletes), chess (12 athletes), table tennis (6 athletes), badminton (5 athletes) and Taekwondo (1 athlete), striving to win 3 to 4 gold medals as well as have athletes meeting the standards to qualify for the 2024 Paris Paralympics.
