Attending the program were leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Ethnic Committee; leaders of 6 provinces in the Viet Bac region, including: Tuyen Quang, Bac Kan , Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Thai Nguyen, Lang Son, and a large number of people.
The tourism program “Through the heritage sites of Viet Bac” was formed on the basis of the cooperation agreement on tourism development between 6 provinces of Viet Bac region. Up to now, the program has been organized 14 times.
The program has created links to develop tourism products, contributing to promoting economic and social development and increasing people's income.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Kan province Pham Duy Hung emphasized that the journey "Through the heritage sites of Viet Bac" entering its 15th year has created a unique tourism brand, typical of the 6 provinces of Viet Bac. The message of the program is to create safe, friendly and attractive destinations, contributing to the implementation of the Vietnam Tourism Development Strategy to 2030.

After the opening speech, delegates, visitors and people enjoyed a spectacular and unique art program with the theme "A lap of Viet Bac".
Integrated into the art program are promotional videos about the tourism potential of the provinces in the Viet Bac region.
This program is organized in conjunction with a number of activities to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Bac Kan Liberation Day (August 24, 1949 - August 24, 2024).
Within the framework of the program, the following activities will take place: Bac Kan province open mountain bike race; OCOP agricultural product festival and culinary culture of 6 Viet Bac provinces; On-site tour guide competition; Conference on signing comprehensive cooperation on tourism communication of 6 Viet Bac provinces with Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Magazine.

Activities associated with the celebration of Bac Kan Liberation Day are: Opening of Song Cau walking street (Bac Kan city); music and fashion show “Viet Bac Imprint”; performance of national intangible cultural heritage of Bac Kan province; exhibition of paintings and photos of 6 Viet Bac provinces; Conference on promoting and advertising investment in Bac Kan province.
Residents and tourists can also participate in many new activities such as hot air ballooning, paragliding, kayaking, folk games, etc.
At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded the rotating flag to organize the 16th program to Cao Bang province.
The tour program "Through the heritage sites of Viet Bac" will end on August 28.
