- Dialogue has become the most important bridge to narrow the gap between schools and students. Since the beginning of the 2025-2025 school year, many high schools in Lang Son province have organized dialogue programs, creating opportunities for students to express their opinions and aspirations, thereby contributing to building a more democratic, positive, understanding and friendly educational environment.

In order to create a space for students to directly express their thoughts and aspirations, Cao Loc High School, Ky Lua Ward successfully organized a dialogue conference between the Principal, the Standing Committee of the School Youth Union and students for the 2025-2026 school year. The conference took place in an open and friendly atmosphere, creating conditions for representatives of 40 Youth Union branches to boldly raise many opinions, questions and suggestions. The contents that students are interested in focus on key issues including: Learning and training activities; cultural, artistic and sports activities; facilities; teaching methods; policies for students; management, behavior, life skills and school environment.
In particular, to demonstrate the creativity and the spirit of daring to think - daring to speak - daring to express opinions of the young generation, the secretaries and class monitors designed questions in the form of short and meaningful slogans. Each slogan is not only a question but also a message conveying the desire to be listened to, shared and together with teachers to build Cao Loc High School to be more dynamic, friendly and happier. The frank and sincere exchanges of the secretaries and class monitors in the conference helped the school's Board of Directors have the direction and basis to come up with practical and timely solutions to improve the effectiveness of teaching and learning in the coming time.
Hoang Thu Ha, class monitor of class 12A4, said: In the past 2 school years, I have participated in many meaningful dialogues. In the recent dialogue, I and my friends were able to freely express our opinions and suggestions. Specifically, I asked about what learning methods senior students need to have to achieve good results. Immediately after the dialogue, the school took note and organized seminars and consultations to help us find suitable self-study methods for ourselves, thereby achieving high results in our studies.

Dialogue activities are also of special importance at special schools such as the Provincial Boarding Ethnic High School, where over 96% of the students are ethnic minorities and live at the school. The dialogue between the principal and the youth union members who are students at the Provincial Boarding Ethnic High School was also lively and successful when the students boldly spoke their minds. Here, the school's students had the opportunity to express their thoughts and aspirations, as well as listen to the guidance and sharing from the Board of Directors. At the dialogue, the School's Board of Directors recorded many practical opinions and answered all the students' concerns about studying, boarding activities, Youth Union movement activities, policies, regimes... as well as their desire to study and practice in an increasingly modern and friendly environment.
Mr. Hoang Duc Cuong, Principal of the school, shared: Direct and open dialogue helps the Board of Directors to understand more deeply the living and psychological needs of students when living away from home. This is an opportunity for the school to identify and resolve problems for students. On the other hand, the dialogue also helps to strengthen solidarity and confidence for students when presenting their opinions in front of the group.

In the 2025-2026 school year, Lang Son province has 26 high schools, 10 secondary and high schools for ethnic minorities, and 1 secondary and high school with more than 80,000 students. In recent school years, high schools in the province have increasingly focused on dialogue activities between school principals and students. This activity not only creates a positive educational environment, but is also a key solution to improve the quality of teaching and learning. When students' opinions are listened to and transformed into action, they will feel respected and have a voice, thereby significantly reducing negative issues such as school violence or dissatisfaction.
Information from the dialogue is a valuable basis for schools to promptly adjust their programs, teaching methods and support policies in a humane manner. Moreover, directly participating in the dialogue is also a practical opportunity for students to develop civic skills, communication, responsible criticism and to form a culture of listening and respect.
Ms. Phan My Hanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training, said: Organizing dialogue is a necessary task, a link between schools and students and ensuring democracy, publicity and transparency. Every year, the Department of Education and Training directs high schools to organize dialogue forums at least once a school year to solicit opinions and feedback from students about human resources and school activities. From there, it requires educational institutions to listen, collect, analyze and absorb positive and reasonable opinions from students. Schools must be places to ensure students' rights; places where students are listened to, respected and understood. Dialogue activities have truly become annual and familiar in educational institutions in the province. This is also one of the important factors determining the index of fairness and happiness in education in the province.
It can be said that when this door of communication is opened sincerely, when listening becomes a solid bridge, each school will become a deeply connected community, where teachers and students together cultivate a friendly, progressive and respectful educational environment. From there, it contributes to shaping generations of students who are not only good at knowledge but also rich in responsibility and the ability to master the future.
