On the evening of August 15, at the Lao Cai Provincial Multi-purpose Gymnasium (Cam Duong Ward), the Opening Ceremony of the 2025 Lao Cai Provincial Basketball Club Tournament took place.

The tournament was attended by 8 clubs, with 120 athletes from agencies, units and schools in the province.

Leaders of the Sports Training and Competition Center spoke at the opening ceremony of the tournament.

The tournament is divided into two groups with a round robin format. The top two teams in each group will advance to the semi-finals. The semi-finals are played in a knockout format, with the two best teams competing for the championship.

The 2025 Lao Cai Provincial Basketball Club Tournament not only creates a healthy and useful playground for athletes, but also demonstrates the local government's interest in developing the mass sports movement; inspiring the young generation to actively participate in physical training, contributing to building a healthy and civilized community.

The closing ceremony and awards ceremony are expected to take place on the afternoon of August 17.
