Opening of the 2025 Lao Cai Provincial Basketball Club Tournament

On the evening of August 15, at Lao Cai Province Multi-purpose Gymnasium (Cam Duong Ward), the Opening Ceremony of the 2025 Lao Cai Province Club Basketball Tournament took place.

The tournament is a practical activity to celebrate the major holidays of the homeland and country: 80 years of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025); 80 years of the Traditional Day of the Cultural Sector (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025);...

8 clubs participated in the tournament.

The Organizing Committee awarded souvenir flags to the clubs participating in the tournament.

The tournament was attended by 8 clubs, with 120 athletes from agencies, units and schools in the province.

Leaders of the Sports Training and Competition Center spoke at the tournament opening ceremony.

The tournament is divided into two groups with a round-robin format. The top two teams in each group will advance to the semi-finals. The semi-finals are played in a knockout format, with the two best teams competing for the championship.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, a number of dramatic and exciting matches took place.

Spectators watch and cheer on the competing clubs.

The 2025 Lao Cai Provincial Basketball Club Tournament not only creates a healthy and useful playground for athletes, but also demonstrates the local government's interest in developing the mass sports movement; inspires the young generation to actively participate in physical training, contributing to building a healthy and civilized community.

The closing ceremony and awards ceremony are expected to take place on the afternoon of August 17.
