Opening of the 2025 National Mixed Badminton Championship in Dien Bien

On the evening of April 21, 2025, at the Dien Bien Provincial Multi-purpose Gymnasium, the Vietnam Sports Administration in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dien Bien province organized the opening ceremony of the 2025 National Mixed Badminton Championship. Comrade Vu A Bang - Vice Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee attended and delivered the opening speech.

This is the first time Dien Bien province has hosted the National Mixed Badminton Championship. The tournament has 10 delegations with more than 100 officials, coaches, and athletes competing in two categories: Group A and Group B.

Through the tournament, it is an opportunity for athletes to exchange, learn, and share experiences, while strengthening solidarity, contributing to maintaining political stability, ensuring national defense and security, further promoting the development of Badminton in Vietnam; promising to bring to the audience many dramatic, attractive matches and demonstrating high professional skills. The tournament is also a practical activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); 71 years of Dien Bien Phu victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2025); 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025)

This is the 4th national-level competition hosted by Dien Bien province in 2025. The tournament will take place from April 21 to 26, 2025.
