Opening of the Fair to connect trade and promote Vietnam - Laos products

(Dan Tri) - The fair took place from November 20 to 23 at the Lao Itecc Center, Vientiane (Laos), gathering hundreds of businesses from both countries to display and introduce products at about 150 booths.

On November 20, the Vietnam - Laos Trade Fair and Product Promotion Fair 2025 officially opened at the Lao International Exhibition and Convention Center (Lao Itecc) in Vientiane, Laos.

The fair is jointly organized by the Ministry of National Defense , Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam and the Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Industry and Trade of Laos.

This is an activity under the national program on trade promotion in 2025.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang, Deputy Minister of National Defense, emphasized that Vietnam and Laos are two close neighboring countries, with many similarities in culture and beliefs, and a tradition of diplomatic relations, peace, and close ties throughout the history of building and defending the country of the two peoples.

In the context of the world and region witnessing rapid, complex and unpredictable developments, the cooperative relationship between the two Parties and the two countries of Vietnam and Laos continues to develop steadily, go into depth, and bring about practical results...

According to Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang, since the beginning of the year, many agencies, units, localities and friendship associations of the two countries have actively responded to the event celebrating the 50th anniversary of the National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (LPDR) with many practical and meaningful activities in all fields.

The two countries' defense ministries have also organized many diverse exchange activities, focusing on high-level delegation exchanges, joint training exercises to deal with non-traditional security challenges, training and coaching of officers, border exchanges, people-to-people exchanges, strengthening friendship and cooperation, etc.

The 2025 Vietnam - Laos Trade Fair and Product Promotion Fair is one of the large-scale political and social activities, a practical activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the National Day of the Lao PDR (December 2, 1975 - December 2, 2025).

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang believes that the fair will create conditions to further promote friendly exchanges and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, firmly consolidate the traditional partnership, enhance deep understanding of revolutionary history and further tighten the special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos.

Senior Lieutenant General Vongsone Inpanphim highly appreciated the important significance of the Vietnam - Laos Trade Connection and Product Promotion Fair 2025.

He believes that the Fair will create opportunities for businesses of the two countries to meet, exchange and seek opportunities to expand trade relations and cooperation.

The 2025 Vietnam - Laos Business Product Promotion and Trade Fair takes place from November 20 to 23 at the Lao Itecc Center, Vientiane.

This year's fair brings together hundreds of businesses from both countries to display and introduce products with a scale of about 150 booths, of which the Vietnam Pavilion has a scale of 120 standard booths of more than 60 quality, branded and prestigious businesses of Vietnam.
