Opening of the National Knowledge Training Course for Officers and Professional Soldiers in 2025

Colonel Le Cong Thanh - Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard Command delivered the opening speech.

100 trainees who are officers and professional soldiers of the working teams of the Border Guard Stations and forces directly and regularly in contact with and working with ethnic minorities participating in the training course were introduced to 7 topics including: Overview of ethnic minorities in Vietnam; the Party's viewpoints, policies and guidelines on ethnic issues and ethnic work; laws and policies of the State on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas; culture of ethnic minorities in Vietnam; the current grassroots political system in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in Vietnam; ensuring national defense and security in ethnic minority and mountainous areas; some basic issues on the military's participation in resolving complex situations in ethnic minority areas.

Organizing training courses is very necessary, contributing significantly to the comprehensive development of ethnic minorities in border areas. This is content No. 1, Sub-project 2 (Project 5) under the National Target Program on socio -economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the period 2021 - 2030.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Colonel Le Cong Thanh - Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard Command emphasized that the training topics are very important for the implementation and organization of ethnic affairs and ethnic policies of agencies and units in the stationed areas. In order for the training course to successfully complete its tasks according to the set plan, he requested: The Organizing Committee of the training course to strictly manage and maintain the regimes and activities of the training course according to regulations, ensuring absolute safety for people, vehicles and materials; regularly closely monitor, urge, direct and operate the course according to the set goals and requirements. Trainees actively study, research, take full notes, grasp the content of the topics and relate them to the work process at the unit, discover new issues, good and effective ways of doing things, and content that is still stuck and inadequate in practice to discuss, exchange, and supplement to clarify the content, forms, and measures to carry out mass mobilization work, ethnic work, and ethnic policies in ethnic minority areas in border areas in the coming time.

At the end of the training course, students will do assessment and grading exercises. The training course will end and close on December 5th.
