On January 17, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) held the opening ceremony of the thematic exhibition "95 years of Spring with the Party". The exhibition was held to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025) and to celebrate the Spring of At Ty 2025. Deputy Minister Hoang Dao Cuong attended and cut the ribbon to open the exhibition.
The exhibition “95 Spring Seasons with the Party” introduces to the public 66 works of diverse genres and materials by 55 authors created between 1954 and 2010, displayed in two forms: traditional and projection. Of these, 36 works on materials such as lacquer, oil, silk, bronze, wood, etc. are displayed in the traditional form and 30 works are displayed in the form of digital projection.

Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Director of the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum Nguyen Anh Minh emphasized: The founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam in 1930 was an important milestone, of decisive significance in the cause of national liberation, protection and construction of the country. Over the past 95 years, the Communist Party of Vietnam has led the people from one victory to another. The exhibition "95 springs with the Party" introduces 66 selected works from the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum's Modern Art Collection about the Communist Party of Vietnam.
These are paintings, graphics, sculptures with diverse materials, rich visual language, bearing the style and unique mark of each artist. These are works depicting images from the early days of leader Nguyen Ai Quoc searching for a way to save the country, to the successful August Revolution in 1945, expressed through the works "Uncle Ho searching for a way to save the country" by sculptor Diep Minh Chau, "Xo Viet - Nghe Tinh", "Capturing Bac Bo Palace" by artist Nguyen Duc Nung; "August Revolution" by artist Le Huy Toan...

During the two long resistance wars, the works of art both expressed revolutionary reality and the artists' feelings and respect for heroic sacrifices. Some works include: “Unyielding” by sculptor Hua Tu Hoai, “Dong Loc Intersection” by artist Le Huy Hoa, or the topicality of the policies and guidelines that the Party has shown the way such as: “Admitting to the Party in prison” by artist Nguyen Duc Nung, “Assembly” by artist Nguyen Hiem, “Reading letters from the North” by artist Nguyen Van Muoi, “Labor for the South” by artists Nguyen Trong Cat, Tran Thanh Ngoc, “Stronger than bombs and bullets” by sculptor Le Minh Kai… When peace and national reunification came, our Party continued to lead the people to carry out the work of national construction, affirming the Party’s mettle and fighting strength, while affirming the people’s trust in general and artists in particular in the Party, determined to follow the path that our Party, President Ho Chi Minh and previous revolutionary leaders had chosen…

These contents are expressed through the works “Uncle Ho’s Will, the People’s Heart” by artist Tran Nguyen Dan), “The Party Calls! We Are Ready” by artist Pham Van Lung, “Light and Faith” by artist Nghiem Xuan Quang. In addition, some works depict the period of national construction such as “On the Oil Rig” by artist Tran Dau, “Building Thang Long Bridge” by artist Tran Khanh Nam, “Song Da Hydropower Plant” by artist Pham Duc Phong… The works were created in the period from 1954 to 2010, by many generations of Vietnamese visual artists, from generations of artists during the Indochina fine arts period, Resistance fine arts, to modern and contemporary fine arts.

With their own feelings and expressions, the artists have devoted all their energy and creativity to create works of historical, aesthetic and profound humanistic value about the glorious tradition of the Communist Party of Vietnam, from the steps taken by Uncle Ho, the founder of the Communist Party of Vietnam, to the struggles for independence, through two resistance wars against France and the US, to the peaceful reunification of the country, building the country and the Doi Moi process.
In the 95 springs with the Party, the country has changed so much. The Party has shown the way, guided the people from slavery to independence and freedom, overcoming many difficulties and hardships. The country has been unified, united to build a beautiful and prosperous country.

The Vietnam Fine Arts Museum hopes that this exhibition will help art lovers understand more about the glorious tradition of the Communist Party of Vietnam over the past 95 years, the great achievements of historical significance of the Vietnamese nation and revolution under the leadership of the Party. At the same time, it affirms the trust of the people in general and artists in particular in the Party and beloved Uncle Ho.
The exhibition is open to visitors until February 27, 2025, on the 1st floor of Building B, Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, 66 Nguyen Thai Hoc, Ba Dinh, Hanoi./.
