Long Bien Ward deploys Smart Digital Map to contribute to improving efficiency in serving people

HNP - On October 10, the 71st anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital, the People's Committee of Long Bien Ward officially launched the application "Long Bien SmartMap" - Smart digital map of Long Bien Ward.

Pursuant to the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on "Breakthrough in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation", the 1st Long Bien Ward Party Congress, term 2025-2030, identified digital transformation as one of the breakthrough contents.

Pursuant to the Congress Resolution, the Ward Party Committee issued 3 full-term work programs, including Program No. 02-CTr/DU on "Comprehensive and extensive digital transformation; developing digital government, digital economy and digital society in the period 2025-2030".

Technical unit demonstrates the operation of the application "SmartMap Long Bien"

The deployment of Long Bien SmartMap application is not only a concrete step to implement the breakthrough identified by the Ward Party Congress, but also demonstrates the spirit of urgency and determination to implement the Congress Resolution effectively right from the first month, first quarter, and first year.

Long Bien is also the first ward in the City to deploy the "SmartMap" application. With this application, the ward has both improved the efficiency of state management and overcome limitations and difficulties in land management data, infrastructure, planning, and scattered population; the synthesis of reports is still manual, time-consuming, and unsystematic; monitoring the current status of urban areas does not have visual support tools.

Permanent Deputy Secretary of Long Bien Ward Party Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Hang spoke and proposed to complete the application so that people can use it.

A representative of eKGIS Geographic Information Technology Joint Stock Company, the developer of Long Bien SmartMap, said that “Long Bien SmartMap” was developed on the CityWork platform, integrating online GIS maps, mobile applications and digital dashboards.

The system allows for synchronous management of data on planning, land, construction order, trees, environment, fire prevention and fighting, residents, and social security. All feedback from residents and residential groups is recorded by images, GPS positioning, and electronic records, helping the government to grasp and handle it promptly, accurately, publicly, and transparently. This is also a tool to help ward leaders direct and operate more effectively, promptly, and transparently.

In the coming time, Long Bien ward will continue to connect "Long Bien SmartMap" with Zalo OA and the ward's Electronic Information Page, helping people look up planning, send feedback and monitor processing results right on the digital platform. Along with that, the ward will expand the database to the fields of socio-economics, health, education , social security, commerce, integrate a comprehensive digital operating board (Dashboard) to serve leaders in real-time management, and at the same time publicize open data, increase transparency and people's participation.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Long Bien Ward Party Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Hang suggested that the Ward People's Committee and the software development unit continue to build information and perfect the application according to the motto of keeping the data "alive and clean" with the goal that in the future, not only the staff, but also the people can use it effectively and conveniently.
