Exactly one century ago, Musée Khai Dinh, the first museum in the capital of Hue, was established based on the decree of Emperor Khai Dinh (1916-1925). In the context of that time, this demonstrated a progressive ideology and awareness in preserving, conserving and promoting the traditional cultural heritage values of the nation in particular and the world in general of an emperor of Dai Nam.
To commemorate this milestone along with the important contributions of the 12th emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty in deciding to establish the museum, the exhibition displays 100 artifacts. Through the exhibition, the public will have the opportunity to admire treasures related to Emperor Khai Dinh, from objects symbolizing supreme power made of precious materials (gold, gold-plated silver, jade), inscriptions and inscriptions that only appear on royal objects or artifacts painted with brilliant gold to objects that are only seen in the royal palace... The treasures on display are also the basis for the public to better understand a period in the history of the monarchy. In addition, the exhibition also introduces a number of artifacts collected from the early days of the Capital City's Association of Ancient Lovers, contributing to creating the premise for the establishment of the museum...
The exhibition “100-year journey (August 24, 1923 - August 24, 2023) from Musée Khai Dinh to Hue Royal Antiquities Museum” will be open every day of the week, from 6.30AM - 5.30 PM, from August 24, 2023 to November 22, 2023.
