Audience debates singer singing 'Continue writing the story of peace', what does the musician say?

Recently, the song " Writing the continuation of the peace story " by musician Nguyen Van Chung has received special attention from the public because of its meaningful lyrics and heroic melody.

The song was also honored to appear in a series of art programs towards the Liberation Day of the South and the reunification of the country. Notably, at the 50th Anniversary of the April 30 Victory in Ho Chi Minh City, the song was performed in the opening art program by singers Vo Ha Tram and Dong Hung.

The incident stemmed from the fact that singer Duyen Quynh was the one who collaborated and came up with the initial idea to compose this song with musician Nguyen Van Chung. Duyen Quynh was also the first person to perform the song and contributed significantly to spreading it since its first release nearly 2 years ago.

Many audiences expressed their doubts and regrets when Duyen Quynh was not invited to perform the song at the main national event, instead Vo Ha Tram was. Some opinions said that the reason was because Vo Ha Tram had better vocal technique and sang better. This created unnecessary comparisons and affected the artists involved.

In the face of these controversies, musician Nguyen Van Chung - the author of the song - spoke out to express his views. With a thoughtful attitude and respect for all contributions, he clarified many issues.

He affirmed the song's success on digital platforms and its influence: "4 clips of Continue the story of peace all entered YouTube's Top Trending Music with rankings increasing day by day, including 2 clips from the ceremony performed by Vo Ha Tram and Dong Hung... ". He emphasized that this success "proves how that explosive performance touched the hearts of millions of viewers".

The musician expressed his gratitude to Vo Ha Tram and Dong Hung for helping the audience deeply feel the beauty and thoughtfulness of the lyrics that he put all his heart into writing. He affirmed that it was the inner strength, precision and emotion in the way the two singers sang at the ceremony that helped the song create a huge "patriotic wave".

However, he also gave special words of appreciation and affirmed the indispensable role of Duyen Quynh in the journey of the song. He wrote: "I am grateful to Quynh because thanks to Quynh, I had the idea to write this song, and Quynh was also the one who persistently brought the song to perform from the first days of its release until today for nearly 2 years, persistently spreading and doing many things for the song so that from there, the song was known, was evaluated as qualified and was lucky to be chosen as one of the songs to be performed at the Great Ceremony" .

Recently, Duyen Quynh also brought the song abroad to perform in front of the Vietnamese community and local audiences in Japan.

Musician Nguyen Van Chung speaks out about the unfortunate comparison.

Regarding the comparisons in terms of qualifications, musician Nguyen Van Chung also gave an objective perspective. He said that the fact that Duyen Quynh was not chosen to perform at that event does not mean that the female singer is not qualified.

He said: "Quynh also studied only one year less than Tram and also graduated from the Conservatory of Music, worked for about the same amount of time, and was a vocal teacher...". He explained that the difference in popularity could be due to different career orientations and also the "fate" factor. He affirmed his belief in Duyen Quynh when choosing her to be the first person to perform the original song, based on her 20 years of experience in the profession.

Musician Nguyen Van Chung expressed his greatest wish to end the unnecessary noise. He was happy that the song was loved by everyone through many different voices.

"I hope that the controversy will end here. I hope that everyone will not compare or say hurtful words to the singers who contributed to the song. No singer is jealous of anyone else because of this song. Everyone just wants to spread it and everyone should consider this song as a special love.
