To temporarily prevent coastal erosion, the construction units used heavy vehicles, transporting hundreds of precast concrete blocks, each weighing 5 tons, using geotextiles to "patch" the An Bang coastal areas that were continuously hit by waves causing severe erosion. Using high-capacity excavators, scooping up soil and sand from the mainland to fill in the vulnerable areas that were heavily eroded by waves.

Mr. Nguyen Chin, head of Tan Thanh residential group, Hoi An Tay ward, said that the erosion of An Bang beach has been happening for many years and has been especially serious in the past few days due to the impact of storm No. 12. Currently, units have concentrated a large amount of vehicles, materials, equipment and human resources for temporary construction, to prevent the erosion of the beach from encroaching on houses, and people are very happy.

Mr. Le Tu Khanh, Head of Project Management Department 2, Quang Nam Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board, said that in the past few days, due to the impact of storm No. 12, high tides and large waves continuously hit the mainland, causing serious erosion on the coast of An Bang, especially in Tan Thanh quarter, Hoi An Tay ward. Implementing the drastic direction of Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Tran Nam Hung, Quang Nam Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board coordinated with Hoi An Tay Ward People's Committee to concentrate many means, equipment, materials and human resources to temporarily prevent the increasingly serious coastal erosion into the mainland, in order to protect tourism infrastructure, land and housing of people in this area.

Thanh Tien Co., Ltd. is one of the units participating in the emergency handling of the coastal erosion in Hoi An. Deputy Director Le Cong Vien said that the joint venture of construction units has coordinated with local authorities, investors, and supervision consultants to urgently carry out construction measures to protect Hoi An's coastline from the increasingly severe erosion of high tides and waves.

The units mobilized 2 crane trucks, 2 large excavators, and dozens of workers directly to the scene to scoop sand on the shore to reinforce the vulnerable areas that were eroded. Using heavy vehicles to transport precast concrete components (haro blocks) placed on geotextiles, to make a "retaining wall" to prevent sea waves and high tides from causing serious erosion inland. It is expected that by the end of October 22, the joint venture of Dat Phuong, Thanh Tien and Lung Lo will temporarily complete the reinforcement of more than 100 meters within the most seriously eroded coastline in the An Bang coastal area, Mr. Le Cong Vien, Deputy Director of Thanh Tien Company Limited added.

Chairman of Hoi An Tay Ward People's Committee Bui Van Dung said that the erosion of An Bang beach in each rainy and stormy season is getting worse and worse, beyond the locality's capacity. For now, the locality has stretched ropes, put up warning signs, and sent forces to be on duty in dangerous areas to prevent possible risks. With the drastic participation of authorities at all levels and the joint venture of units participating in the construction of the emergency protection project for Hoi An beach in promptly preventing the erosion, people in the area have temporarily felt secure before storm No. 12 makes landfall.

In the long term, the locality has proposed that the People's Committee of Da Nang city and relevant agencies soon invest in building underground dykes to reduce waves from a distance to protect the An Bang coast in particular and the Hoi An coast in general from the increasingly fierce erosion of high tides and waves, especially during the rainy and stormy season, to protect the property, lives and livelihoods of local people.

Previously, to proactively respond to storm No. 12, Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Tran Nam Hung and relevant agencies inspected the landslide situation of An Bang beach, in Tan Thanh block, Hoi An Tay ward, which continued to suffer serious landslides caused by high tides and waves.

The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City requested the Quang Nam Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board and the construction units of the Hoi An coastal emergency protection project to provide timely support to help people in the landslide area overcome temporary difficulties. He requested the authorities and relevant agencies to urgently deploy disaster response plans according to the risk level in the area, absolutely not allowing danger to the lives of people in the coastal landslide area.
