Inauguration of nearly 1,800 billion VND university in Bac Ninh

(Chinhphu.vn) - On the morning of August 19, in Bac Ninh province, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long attended the inauguration ceremony and put up the signboard of the Hanoi Law University campus 2 with a total investment of nearly 1,800 billion VND.

The event took place during the groundbreaking and inauguration program of 250 projects nationwide on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

Hanoi Law University Campus 2 was built in Dong Nguyen Ward, Bac Ninh Province since 2019 on an area of about 28 hectares, meeting the training needs of 10,800 students.

Up to now, the basic items have been completed and it is expected that students will return to study from the 2025-2026 school year.

Associate Professor, Dr. To Van Hoa, Rector of Hanoi Law University, said that the training facility of Hanoi Law University in Bac Ninh province was selected as one of the key projects to be inaugurated online nationwide, which is a clear demonstration of the special attention of the Party, the State and the Ministry of Justice to the cause of training high-quality legal human resources. This project not only contributes to expanding the scale and modernizing the facilities of the University, meeting the requirements of university education innovation, but also affirms the role and position of Hanoi Law University as the leading center for legal training and research in the country.

The training facility of Hanoi Law University in Bac Ninh province will create favorable conditions for the University to develop diverse training programs, more closely linked to the practices of localities, the Northern region and the Northern key economic region. This is also a strategic step in realizing the goal of building Hanoi Law University into a training facility on par with the region and the world, actively contributing to the cause of building a socialist rule-of-law state in Vietnam.

"Smart school" model with strong application of digital technology

"I believe that, with the consensus of the staff, lecturers, students and the support of all levels and sectors, the Training Facility of Hanoi Law University in Bac Ninh province will quickly develop effectively, become a bright spot in legal training, and make practical contributions to the development of the Judiciary and the country in the period of deep integration", Assoc. Prof. Dr. To Van Hoa expressed.

The operation of the Hanoi Law University Training Facility in Bac Ninh province will bring a modern, comprehensive and potential learning environment for students.

It is expected that in the first phase, there will be about 3,000 students studying; when the entire infrastructure is completed, this number can increase to 5,000–6,000 students per year. Students will have access to the "smart school" model with strong application of digital technology in teaching and management, and at the same time enjoy full benefits as students studying at the main campus - from scholarships, scientific research support, international exchanges, and professional internships.

According to Associate Professor Dr. To Van Hoa, with a synchronous investment strategy in infrastructure, human resources and technology, the training facility of Hanoi Law University in Bac Ninh province will quickly become a modern, friendly and open legal training center, where students are excited to study, lecturers are confident in teaching, and the local community is proud to accompany.

In the Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, Bac Ninh will form University Urban Areas to attract higher education institutions from Hanoi to move to or build branches in the province.

The projects of Hanoi Medical University, Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment, Foreign Trade University, and the Training Facility - under Hanoi University of Science and Technology in Bac Ninh province are also in the process of implementation. Bac Ninh province plans to support these 4 projects with about 720 billion VND.
