Hanoi Children's Hospital is considered one of the city's key projects, marking an important milestone in the socio -economic development of the capital in general, and in the care and protection of people's health in particular.
Attending and cutting the ribbon to inaugurate the hospital was Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Member of the Political Bureau, Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee, and Head of the Hanoi National Assembly Delegation. Also present were Central Committee members: Dao Hong Lan, Minister of Health; Nguyen Kim Son, Minister of Education and Training… along with leaders of central ministries, departments, and agencies, and the city of Hanoi.
Phase one of the construction of Hanoi Children's Hospital includes a 6-story building with two main sections: an outpatient clinic and an inpatient treatment area (with a capacity of 200 beds). Hanoi Children's Hospital is the first specialized pediatric general hospital in the capital city, with 24 specialties.
The commissioning of Hanoi Children's Hospital affirms the efforts, endeavors, and responsibility of the entire political system of Hanoi in implementing the goals and Program No. 08 of the City Party Committee, contributing to the successful achievement of the targets set forth in the Resolution of the Hanoi City Party Congress.

To become a leading pediatric hospital, ensuring the care, protection, and improvement of children's health in the area and neighboring provinces, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha requested the Hanoi Department of Health to continue directing the Children's Hospital to improve its organizational structure, supplement personnel and equipment, serve the work of medical examination and treatment, provide guidance to lower-level facilities, conduct scientific research, and develop specialized technical services at the leading level, receive and master advanced medical technical services from around the world, and gradually professionalize hospital management towards high-quality standards and build a hospital culture.
On the other hand, we will continue to research and review the healthcare needs of the people in the area; and promptly advise on and propose investment for phase 2 so that Hanoi Children's Hospital can reach 500 beds, befitting its status as the leading pediatric hospital in the capital.

On this occasion, the leaders of the Hanoi People's Committee also requested central ministries, departments, and agencies, especially the Ministry of Health, to continue supporting the capital city in ensuring social security in general and healthcare for the people in particular. They also requested continued support for the development of specialized and multi-specialty hospitals in Hanoi, aiming to meet the criteria of leading hospitals and assume a national role in the country's healthcare system.
