Comrade Dang Xuan Phong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and the working delegation surveyed the construction sites of resettlement areas for people affected by floods.
The resettlement area of Nam Tong village, Nam Luc commune is expected to be about 2 km from the old village that was eroded, with an area of about 4 hectares, and can accommodate 70 households, each with about 300 m2, with a school and a village cultural house. Here, specialized agencies will quickly report on the geological survey situation and resettlement plans; at the same time, consult with local people.
The resettlement area of Kho Vang village, Coc Lau commune is 1.5 km from the old location, with an area of 2.5 hectares; it is expected to accommodate 40 households, each with 300 square meters.
After the field inspection, Provincial Party Secretary Dang Xuan Phong assigned the provincial departments and branches to coordinate in implementing the two new resettlement areas. He requested that tomorrow (September 17), the units deploy measurement, planning, and statistics on site clearance compensation, ensuring conditions to speed up construction progress, determined to complete before December 31, 2024.
It is expected that these two resettlement areas can accommodate some households from neighboring areas at risk of landslides. Provincial Party Secretary Dang Xuan Phong hopes that local people will support and cooperate during the construction process so that the project can be completed soon, helping people stabilize their lives.
