On the morning of August 7, at the flag-raising ceremony of Dong Nai Provincial Police, Major General Nguyen Sy Quang, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Provincial Police, presented extraordinary Certificates of Merit to 3 groups, including: Bien Hoa City Police, Criminal Police Department and Criminal Techniques Department of the Provincial Police for their outstanding achievements in investigating and quickly arresting the murderer and robber, which occurred on August 5 in Long Binh Ward, Bien Hoa City.

Major General Nguyen Sy Quang, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of Dong Nai Provincial Police Department, presented an unexpected Certificate of Merit to the Criminal Techniques Department, Criminal Police Department and Bien Hoa City Police.

On this occasion, the Chairman of Bien Hoa City People's Committee also decided to give bonuses to 3 groups: Bien Hoa City Police, Criminal Police Department and Criminal Techniques Department of the Provincial Police for the above achievements.

Previously, on the afternoon of August 5, Ms. CTN, 37 years old, from Ben Tre province, owner of a hair salon on Bui Van Hoa street, in ward 7, Long Binh ward, was murdered and then robbed of some of her property.

Immediately after receiving the report, the Director of Dong Nai Provincial Police directed Bien Hoa City Police to coordinate with the professional departments of the Provincial Police to quickly investigate the scene and clarify the cause.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thanh, Vice Chairman of Bien Hoa City People's Committee, presented unexpected awards to 3 groups: Criminal Technique Department, Criminal Police Department and Bien Hoa City Police.

After the process of investigation, pursuit, screening of the area and subjects, and applying synchronous professional measures, by the early morning of August 6, the police force arrested Tran Huu Son, 38 years old, residing in Ho Nai ward, Bien Hoa city. Son is the perpetrator who murdered Ms. CTN to rob her property.

At the police station, Son initially confessed that he had previously visited Ms. N's hair salon many times. On August 5, Son went to Ms. N's hair salon to borrow money, and then there was a conflict between Son and Ms. N.

There, Son attacked Ms. N. with a knife, causing her to collapse on the spot. After committing the crime, Son took Ms. N.'s phone and wallet (with more than 4 million VND inside) and left the scene. He then took a motorbike taxi back to his rented room in Long Binh ward and used the stolen money to play games.

On this occasion, the Director of Dong Nai Provincial Police also presented extraordinary certificates of merit to two individuals, including: Captain Truong Ngu Ho and Corporal Duong Tuan Kiet (Officer of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Team of Nhon Trach area, under the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Dong Nai Provincial Police) for their outstanding achievements in successfully rescuing foreign victims of the fire that occurred on June 27 at Renze Company, Nhon Trach district.
