On June 13, news from Mang Thit District Police (Vinh Long), this unit has just organized a ceremony to award the Director of Vinh Long Provincial Police to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in investigating and quickly solving the murder case in My An commune and with outstanding achievements in collecting documents for citizen identification cards in the district.

Colonel Phan Ngoc Tinh, Deputy Director of Vinh Long Provincial Police, awarded certificates of merit to police forces and people with achievements.

Accordingly, authorized by the Director of Vinh Long Provincial Police, Colonel Phan Ngoc Tinh, Deputy Director of Vinh Long Provincial Police, presented certificates of merit and awards to the Criminal Police Team; Captain Phan Thanh Hai, officer of the Criminal Police Team of Mang Thit District Police; Major Tran Minh Thai, officer of My An Commune Police (Mang Thit District) and Mr. Nguyen Truong Nam, residing in My An Commune, Mang Thit District for their outstanding achievements in quickly investigating and solving the murder case that occurred in My An Commune.

According to the case, at around 3:10 a.m. on June 3, Mr. Nguyen Truong Nam discovered Mr. PVN (36 years old, residing in My An commune) lying motionless at a resident's house, with many injuries on his body, so he reported it to the police. Upon receiving the report, My An commune police coordinated with Mang Thit district police to quickly arrive at the scene, together with the residents, take the victim to the emergency room and urgently investigate and prosecute.

Because the incident happened late at night, the scene was in disarray, so the verification and tracing of the perpetrator encountered many difficulties. However, with the determination of Mang Thit District Police and the enthusiastic support of the people, less than 4 hours later, the police force identified the suspect as Nguyen Van Khach (50 years old, residing in Cho Lach District, Ben Tre) and made an emergency arrest. The murder case is still under investigation.

The collective and individual police officers of Mang Thit District were commended for being the first unit in Vinh Long province to complete the issuance of citizen identification cards to 100% of eligible citizens in the district.

Also at the ceremony, Colonel Phan Ngoc Tinh presented a certificate of merit from the Director of Vinh Long Provincial Police to the Mang Thit District Police and Lieutenant Colonel Truong Ngoc Anh Thu for their outstanding achievements in receiving applications for citizen identification cards in Mang Thit District. Mang Thit District Police is the first unit in Vinh Long Province to complete the issuance of citizen identification cards to 100% of eligible citizens in the district.
