On the afternoon of May 14, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Vien district organized the groundbreaking ceremony to build a solidarity house for the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Chien, village 24, Cau Lan, Gia Hoa commune, Gia Vien district.
Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Vien province and district.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Chien is a poor household with special housing difficulties in Gia Hoa commune. She is a former youth volunteer during the anti-American war, and is now in poor health. For many years, her family has lived in a dilapidated, seriously degraded level 4 house and cannot afford to repair or rebuild.
Faced with that situation, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Vien district called on organizations and individuals to join hands to help Ms. Chien build a new house with an area of 55 square meters. Of which, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Vien district supported 100 million VND from the district's Gratitude and Social Security Fund; the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Hoa commune supported 5 million VND; the rest was contributed and supported by the family, people and local authorities.
Supporting the construction of solidarity houses for policy households is a meaningful work, thereby demonstrating the spirit of mutual love, the role and responsibility of all levels, sectors and the whole society in the face of difficult circumstances, helping families to soon stabilize and rise up in life. This is also a project to welcome the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels for the 2024 - 2029 term.
