On the afternoon of December 17th, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Union, the Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, and ZION Joint Stock Company (Zalopay) signed an agreement to jointly organize the "Spring Journey" program for the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026 with the theme "Vietnam Scan QR Codes – Helping Each Other Get Home".
Entering its second year, the program has been expanded in scale, aiming to provide more support to disadvantaged workers employed in trade union-affiliated units and businesses in Ho Chi Minh City.

This year's "Spring Journey" aims to receive 1.2 billion VND in donations, thereby supporting over 800 bus tickets to bring union members and workers back to provinces such as Gia Lai, Quang Ngai, Da Nang , Thua Thien Hue, Quang Tri, Ha Tinh, Thanh Hoa… to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026.
The program's beneficiaries are union members and workers in difficult circumstances, with priority given to those who suffered damage to their homes, land, or personal or family property due to storms and floods in 2025. Next are those with special circumstances such as those living in rented accommodation, raising young children, spouses who have lost their jobs or lack stable employment; those who have been unable to return home for Tet (Lunar New Year) for two or more consecutive years; and workers with outstanding wages or social insurance contributions.

This year's program continues to showcase the close collaboration between the three units. The Ho Chi Minh City Labor Union plays a key role in connecting, reviewing, and supporting the right beneficiaries; the Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper is responsible for community mobilization and media sponsorship; and Zalopay provides technological platform support and media coordination, contributing to making the donation process more convenient, transparent, and accessible to a wider audience.
Mr. Pham Chi Tam, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Federation of Labor, affirmed: "The Springtime Bus Trip is a humane activity, demonstrating the concern of all levels, sectors, and society as a whole for migrant workers. The program, now in its second year on a larger scale, shows the increasingly strong joint efforts of the community in caring for migrant workers during Tet (Lunar New Year)."

As a technology partner in the program, Zalopay stated that applying digital payment to donation activities not only optimizes the donation experience but also helps spread community values in a more sustainable and accessible way.
Sharing more about this year's theme, Ms. Nguyen Tran Phuong Ngoc, Marketing Director of Zalopay, said that the theme "Vietnam Scan QR Code – Helping Each Other Get Home" conveys the message of building a new way of sharing, where each benefactor can easily participate by simply scanning a QR code. When many scans are performed, technology not only makes contributing more convenient but also creates a collective effort, spreading the spirit of mutual support and compassion throughout the community.

Looking back at 2025, the first time the "Spring Journey" program was launched during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake, it received widespread support from the community. In one month, the donation portal on the Zalopay application received nearly 530 million VND from more than 60,000 contributions, exceeding the target of 500 million VND.
This amount has supported 411 bus tickets and many practical Tet gifts for union members, workers, and disadvantaged families, creating an important foundation for the program to expand in 2026.
