It's not just a thank you...

For the first time, principals of several primary schools in the province sent thank-you letters to parents of fifth-grade students who achieved excellent academic results for five consecutive years during their graduation ceremony. This was not only a thank you to parents for their support of the school but also a contribution to building a friendly and loving school environment and shaping the character of the students.

Principal Thieu Thi Thu of Chu Van An Primary School (Dam Rong) sent a letter of commendation to 14 outstanding students and thanked the parents.

In the 2024-2025 school year, the 5th graders will be the first cohort to complete the primary school program under the 2018 General Education Program. At the graduation ceremony for the 5th grade students of the 2020-2025 school year, Principal Phan Thi Lien Nga of Lac Lam Primary School (Don Duong District) sent a letter of thanks to the parents of 49 students who achieved the title of outstanding student for five consecutive years, from the 2020-2021 school year to the 2024-2025 school year. The letter included the following passage: “On behalf of the entire staff and teachers of Lac Lam Primary School, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the esteemed parents. The outstanding achievements of our children for many consecutive years are the result of the dedicated, loving, and responsible support of parents – wonderful parents who have always put their children first…”. “Besides expressing our gratitude, the school hopes that parents will continue to support their children on their journey ahead, pay more attention to their studies, and understand their thoughts and feelings so that timely adjustments can be made. At the same time, we want to send a message to our students: behind every success, there is the presence and support of your parents and family, so you must always remember this debt of gratitude,” Ms. Lien Nga shared.

At Chu Van An Primary School (Dam Rong District), Principal Thieu Thi Thu also sent a letter of commendation to 14 students who achieved excellent academic results for five consecutive years of primary school. The letter stated: “These students, who have excelled for five years in a row, are the clearest evidence of a confident and capable generation. And behind this success is the silent but extraordinary presence of outstanding teachers and parents, who have accompanied and wholeheartedly dedicated themselves to the children – truly embodying the spirit of ‘all for our beloved students.’” Ms. Thu added: “The school sent this letter of commendation to thank the students for their outstanding achievements over the past five years because this is the first cohort to complete and graduate under the 2018 General Education Program. These achievements, in addition to the students' efforts, also benefited greatly from the support and companionship of their parents. This is a thank you for the trust and for entrusting their children to our school.”

Tan Ha II Primary School (Lam Ha district) is also one of the three primary schools in the province where the principal sent a letter of thanks to the parents of students who achieved excellent academic results for five consecutive years and completed the primary school program according to the 2018 General Education Program during the graduation ceremony. “You – the first generation of students to study and train under the 2018 General Education Program – have completed five years of primary school with immense effort and growth. You have not only acquired knowledge but also gradually developed important qualities such as self-confidence, compassion, diligence, and patriotism. We understand that your growth today is the result of a journey full of love, patience, and sacrifice from your families. If you have achieved the title of Outstanding Student for five consecutive years, then your parents are also Outstanding Parents. The school expresses its gratitude to the Outstanding Parents of Outstanding Students,” reads the thank-you letter from Principal Nguyen Thi Hanh to the parents of outstanding students for the 2020-2025 school year.

Upon receiving a thank-you letter from the principal, Ms. Tran Ngoc Kien Trinh, parent of student Tran Ngoc Tram Anh at Lac Lam Primary School, was deeply moved. She said: “I feel very proud of my child's achievements, and I am also reassured that the 2018 General Education Program has helped my child gain confidence and acquire knowledge. Especially, I appreciate the school's close relationship with students and parents. Previously, it was often assumed that parents owed a debt of gratitude to the school for educating their children, but now the school sending a thank-you letter shows the school's appreciation for parents' partnership in educating their children.”

Thank you letters to parents – these small actions demonstrate the school's continuous efforts to fulfill its mission: "Exemplary teachers - Diligent students - A healthy educational environment." The close relationship, collaboration, and sharing between the school and families form a solid foundation for students' holistic development.
