Not much change

The durian market on March 21 was relatively stable. The high-quality Thai durian continued to maintain its highest price, reaching 180,000 VND/kg.

The purchase price of durian in the Mekong Delta region is as follows: Ri6 type A is from 90,000 - 100,000 VND/kg and Ri6 type B is from 70,000 - 80,000 VND/kg, Ri6 type C-D is priced at 45,000 VND/kg.

Ri6 VIP type A costs 110,000 VND/kg, type B costs 90,000 VND/kg.

Thai A durian costs from 135,000 - 143,000 VND/kg, B type costs from 115,000 - 123,000 VND/kg, CD type costs from 55,000 - 60,000 VND/kg. Ice cream costs from 15,000 - 20,000 VND/kg.

VIP Thai durian grade A costs 170,000 VND/kg, grade B costs 140,000 VND/kg, grade C is negotiable.

AB type of ice cream costs 65,000 - 75,000 VND/kg, CD type costs from 45,000 - 50,000 VND/kg; Ice cream costs from 20,000 - 25,000 VND/kg.

Chuong Bo durian type A is priced from 72,000 - 75,000 VND/kg, type B is priced from 52,000 - 55,000 VND/kg, type C is negotiable; Sau Huu durian type A is priced at 90,000 VND/kg, type B is priced at 70,000 VND/kg

Musang King durian grade A costs from 135,000 - 140,000 VND/kg, grade B costs from 105,000 - 120,000 VND/kg. Black Thorn durian grade A costs from 130,000 - 135,000 VND/kg, grade B costs from 110,000 - 115,000 VND/kg.

Domestic durian prices are expected to remain stable in the short term. However, fluctuations in the Thai and Chinese markets may affect durian prices in the coming time, especially if there are changes in import policies or excess supply.

On the Vietnamese side, to expand export markets to other countries, durian exporting enterprises are more cautious in controlling pesticide residues.

In addition to China, some other markets such as UAE, Netherlands, Russia, and Laos also reduced fruit and vegetable imports from Vietnam by about 5-28% compared to the first two months of last year.
