Faced with the urgent situation, the lives and livelihoods of thousands of people were being threatened, implementing the direction of the Ministry of National Defense, on the morning of July 24, two helicopters of the Northern Helicopter Company and Regiment 916 took off from Vinh airport, carrying out the rescue mission.
The flights carrying dozens of tons of essential goods including food, clean water, medicine, life jackets, etc. will be dropped at 5 gathering points in the most heavily isolated communes: Muong Xen, Muong Tip, Nhon Mai, My Ly and Bac Ly to promptly support the people.
Present at Vinh airport to direct the relief work, Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh, Commander of Military Region 4, requested that units coordinate closely to ensure the task is carried out quickly, accurately and absolutely safely.

Emphasizing at the briefing, Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh resolutely said: “No one should be left behind. Relief must be fast, accurate, and absolutely safe. The situation is still complicated, units must maintain high combat readiness, closely monitor floods, and proactively mobilize mobile forces and means to respond when ordered.”

Currently, relief flights are continuing to be carried out depending on weather developments, with the ultimate goal of ensuring that people in flooded areas do not suffer from hunger, lack clean water, and receive timely medical care.
