
On the afternoon of October 8, Director of the Vietnam Road Administration Bui Quang Thai signed a document sent to investors, BOT project enterprises, Vietnam Expressway Corporation, VETC Automatic Toll Collection Company Limited; Vietnam Digital Traffic Joint Stock Company (VDTC); Road Management Zones I, II, III, IV requesting exemption of road use service fees for vehicles transporting relief goods.
The document stated that in recent days, storms No. 10 and No. 11 (storms Bualoi and Matmo) have caused great devastation and damage to people and property, seriously affecting all aspects of life and socio-economic life in the northern mountainous provinces, North Central and Central regions of our country.
Implementing the Prime Minister 's Official Dispatch No. 176/CD-TTg dated September 29, 2025 on urgently overcoming the consequences of storm No. 10 and floods; promoting the spirit of solidarity, "mutual love and affection", "the strong help the weak"; to support the transportation of relief goods to affected areas, helping people overcome the consequences caused by storms and floods, stabilize their lives and restore production, the Vietnam Road Administration requests project investors/enterprises to consider and direct toll stations to exempt road use fees for vehicles transporting relief goods when passing through toll stations until new guidance documents are available.
Project investors/enterprises coordinate with the Regional Road Management Area and relevant local agencies to organize lane division, traffic flow, and traffic guidance so that the above vehicles can pass through the toll station as quickly as possible.
“All toll suspensions and fee exemptions for the above vehicles must be recorded and toll collection records and data must be fully archived in accordance with regulations,” said Director Bui Quang Thai.
