Promoting green transformation, enhancing the adaptability of the logistics industry

On October 8, the plenary session of the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations - FIATA World Congress 2025 opened at the National Convention Center (NCC), Hanoi .

FIATA World Congress 2025 is hosted by the Vietnam Logistics Services Association (VLA), in coordination with FIATA and international partners.

With the theme “Green Logistics, Rapid Adaptation”, the event aims to promote green transformation, enhance supply chain adaptability and affirm the role of logistics in sustainable development.

In his opening speech, Mr. Turgut Erkeskin - President of the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA) said that FIATA is a centuries-old organization with strengths in promoting logistics development. FIATA World Congress 2025 is an important milestone in FIATA's development journey, helping to strengthen connections within the organization.

Over the years, FIATA has promoted international connectivity by launching a new mobile application for packaging, making it easier to access orders. Along with that, FIATA has also promoted electronic bills of lading and strengthened cooperation with multilateral organizations including: World Customs Organization, World Trade Organization; International Air Transport Association; United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific ...

According to Mr. Turgut Erkeskin, in the vision to bring logistics to new heights, Vietnam is an emerging destination and logistics center.

FIATA is ready to support Vietnam in accessing global supply chains, finance and world business markets.

Mr. Dao Trong Khoa - Chairman of the Vietnam Logistics Services Association (VLA) said that Vietnam is aiming to become a regional logistics center through investing in modern, green infrastructure.

At FIATA World Congress 2025, businesses shared experiences, solutions, and successful models; discussed new trends in the global supply chain such as digitalization, green logistics, free trade zones, and supply chain diplomacy.

More importantly, this is an opportunity to strengthen solidarity, consolidate trust, and promote the common responsibility of the global logistics industry in developing the world economy.

Businesses expect that after FIATA World Congress 2025, there will be more cooperation projects and creative ideas to promote green logistics globally.
