In recent times, the entire Education and Training sector of Tien Giang province has made efforts to implement 8 key tasks and solutions to continue promoting fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training, meeting development requirements in the new period. The school network system from preschool to general education has been built and developed widely in communes, wards and towns throughout the province. Up to now, the whole province has 376/507 schools meeting national standards, reaching a rate of 74.16%; of which preschool level: 130 schools (69.15%), primary level: 138 schools (87.34%), secondary level: 80 schools (65.04%) and high school level: 28 schools (73.68%).
The average score of the 2024 high school graduation exam in Tien Giang province reached 6,902 points, an increase of 0.182 points compared to 2023 (in 2023 it was 6.72 points), ranking 15th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide and 2nd in the Mekong Delta region. The whole province has 32 schools with a high school graduation rate of 100%. Also in 2024, the results of the national high school graduation exam in Tien Giang province reached 46 prizes (in 2023 it was 18 prizes), ranking first in the Mekong Delta region in terms of the number of national excellent students...
During the past school year, the school network system from preschool to general education continued to be built and developed widely in communes, wards and towns throughout the province. By the end of the 2023-2024 school year, the whole province had 93.7% of solid classrooms. The whole province had 376/507 schools meeting national standards, accounting for 74.16%. By the end of May 2024, the whole province had 403/513 educational institutions recognized as meeting educational quality assessment standards, accounting for 78.56%. These results are a solid foundation for the Education and Training sector of Tien Giang province to promote in the new school year 2024-2025.
In the new school year 2024 - 2025, the Education and Training Department of Tien Giang province continues to propose solutions to improve the quality of teachers, enhance professional expertise, focus on training in ideology and skills for teachers to educate ethics and lifestyle for students as expected by parents and society./.
