According to data from a leading online booking application in the world , during the Christmas, New Year and Lunar New Year holidays in 2024, Vietnamese tourists are particularly fond of domestic seaside holidays as 5 out of 10 most searched destinations are located near the sea.

In addition, the two major cities of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City are in the top 5 destinations most searched by Vietnamese tourists for the year-end holiday season. Data is calculated from December 1, 2023 to February 29, 2024 based on the number of bookings by Vietnamese tourists for domestic travel programs.

Da Lat ranks behind Hoi An in the list of most searched destinations by Vietnamese tourists.

Specifically, the top 10 domestic destinations most searched by Vietnamese tourists, with check-in dates from December 1, 2023 to February 29, 2024 (numbers in parentheses are the change in ranking compared to the same period in 2022): Leading is Hoi An (rising from 6th place last year), followed by: Da Lat (+1), Ho Chi Minh City (+1), Hanoi (-2), Da Nang (-4), Vung Tau (2), Phu Quoc (-2), Nha Trang (-2), Sa Pa (0), Mui Ne (2).
