Da Nang's Mount Than Tai tourist area is bustling with folk festivals.

NDO - In the warm atmosphere of the new spring, the Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park tourist area in Da Nang welcomes visitors from all over to celebrate the spring, participate in the New Year's festivities, and enjoy lively and attractive folk festival activities.

Traveling with her family from Hanoi to Da Nang to celebrate the New Year, Ms. Phan Ngoc Oanh shared: “While browsing social media, I saw that Da Nang has the God of Wealth Festival held exclusively at the Mount Than Tai Hot Spring Park tourist area, so my family decided to fly here to experience the Central Vietnamese Tet holiday. It was truly interesting, surprising, and visually stunning to witness firsthand, or directly participate in, the traditional folk singing performances of Quang Nam province, blindfolded pot-breaking games, and to be captivated by the stalls offering folk games and food with the authentic flavors of Vietnamese Tet.”

As a resident of Da Nang who traveled nearly 30 kilometers to attend the festival, Ms. Le Thi Hong shared: “Every year I look forward to the God of Wealth Festival to come here to pray to the God of Wealth, receive blessings in the form of bags of rice and salt, and gold amulets, with the wish for a prosperous year, good health, abundant wealth, and happiness. This year I was especially impressed with the parade of the God of Wealth and the 12 zodiac animals, which was very interesting and unique.”

The highlight of this year's Lunar New Year Festival at the Mount Than Tai Hot Spring Park Tourist Area is the parade of the God of Wealth and the 12 zodiac animals. This is part of a series of events held along the route from the Temple of the God of Wealth to the festival area. Locals and tourists participating in the parade will receive blessings of wealth, happiness, good fortune, and prosperity from the God of Wealth.

The atmosphere of the new spring permeates the God of Wealth Festival.

Ms. Le Thi Bich Huong, Director of Communications and Marketing at the Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park Tourist Area, said: “With a larger scale than in previous years, this year's Than Tai Festival focuses on exploiting unique cultural values, traditional Tet customs, and especially spiritual activities unique to the Nui Than Tai Tourist Area, such as asking for blessings from the God of Wealth, the parade of the God of Wealth and the 12 zodiac animals, to serve locals and tourists who come to visit, check in, and experience activities to pray for good fortune and participate in the spring festival during Tet.”

The God of Wealth Festival will take place from the 29th day of the 12th lunar month to the 16th day of the 1st lunar month. During this time, visitors can not only enjoy the spring festivities of the God of Wealth Festival, but also experience unique and distinctive services such as: hot spring baths, mineral mud baths, spring excursions with kayaking and pedal boating on the Love River, sightseeing at the Bird Garden and Love Garden, visiting the Dinosaur Park, or having fun at the largest mountain water park in Vietnam.
