Da Nang promotes Indian tourism market

NDO - On February 18, the Department of Tourism of Da Nang city announced that it had just coordinated with Vietjet Air to organize a program to introduce Da Nang tourism in Ahmedabad city, Gujarat state (India).


The program includes many activities such as business connection space, film screening to promote Da Nang tourism , introduction of information about direct flights from Ahmedabad to Da Nang, and tourism products and services of Da Nang, Vietnam.

There are 21 tourism businesses in Da Nang and Vietnam accompanying the program and directly introducing new tourism products, suitable for the needs and interests of Indian tourists, and at the same time contributing to completing the picture of "Da Nang with many experiences".

The highlight of the cultural experience in the program is the performance of the traditional Ao Dai collection with the participation of Ms. Rhea Singha - Miss Universe India 2024.

“Enjoying multi-experience Da Nang” is the direction of Da Nang tourism, constantly diversifying tourism products and services and enriching tourists’ experiences. By identifying India as one of the potential markets, Da Nang tourism is focusing on the tastes and experiences of tourists to make Da Nang a friendly and attractive destination for Indian tourists.

Da Nang is an ideal city chosen by many Indian couples as a wedding venue.

Since 2022, India has risen to be in the top 5 of Da Nang’s major international tourist markets. Accordingly, for every two Indian tourists coming to Vietnam, one chooses Da Nang as a stopover.

Based on the tastes of the Indian tourist market and market connection activities, Da Nang tourism has been perfecting service product packages and incentive programs for MICE tourism and wedding tourism to bring convenience and satisfaction to tourists.

MICE and wedding tourism attraction programs for groups of 50 people or more, applied from 2022, are pioneering activities to help Da Nang develop strongly in the Indian market as well as other international markets.

In 2024, Da Nang will welcome more than 222,000 Indian visitors, accounting for 5.3% of the total number of international visitors to Da Nang and nearly 50% of the total number of Indian visitors to Vietnam (501,427 thousand). Notably, compared to 2019, the peak period of tourism before the Covid-19 pandemic, the total number of Indian visitors to Da Nang has increased more than 13.5 times.
