Radiation safety inspection in 2025

On November 18 and 19, the Department of Science and Technology of Cao Bang province organized a delegation to inspect the compliance with State regulations on radiation safety at testing and imaging facilities in the following communes and wards: Quang Uyen Commune, Thach An Commune, Hong Duc General Clinic, Center for Disease Control, Nung Chi Cao Ward, Cao Bang Province. Comrade Nong Thanh Than - Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology was the head of the delegation.

The team inspected the X-ray room at the Center. Disease Control, Nung Chi Cao Ward, Cao Bang Province.

At the locations, the Inspection Team conducted document checks and physical inspections in the areas where radiation work was carried out. During the implementation, the facilities complied with the provisions of the law on radiation safety: information on the equipment in use (code, serial number) was consistent with the license application and X-ray equipment inspection records; X-ray and diagnostic imaging equipment in use was periodically inspected according to regulations; sufficient personal dosimeters were provided for radiation workers (02 dosimeters/01 worker) ; personal radiation dose assessment for radiation workers was organized according to regulations; inspection and examination conclusions and documents on the implementation of requests from competent state agencies were kept .

However, there are some contents that have not been fully implemented: lack of supporting documents; not yet purchased civil liability insurance for radiation workers; not yet equipped with personal dosimeters for trainee technicians in the x-ray room .

The inspection team requested the unit to contact insurance service providers to purchase occupational insurance and civil liability insurance for radiation workers. Maintain and strictly comply with legal regulations in the field of atomic energy. For the personal occupational radiation dose monitoring book, a monitoring book must be established for each employee performing radiation safety work at the unit and full information of the employee performing radiation work must be recorded in the monitoring book./ .
