Vietnam's digital economy makes a strong breakthrough: E-commerce increases 42% compared to the same period in 2024

Vietnam's digital economy continues to demonstrate impressive resilience in 2025, recording double-digit growth from the first quarter of 2025. With a total proportion of 18.72% of GDP, of which e-commerce increased by 42.29%, with a scale of more than VND 101,400 billion, Vietnam is emerging as one of the most dynamic markets in the region. Not only e-commerce, but also digital social sectors, domestic applications and the mobile application download market are also accelerating strongly, reflecting the widespread spread of digital transformation in economic and social life.
