Signing of Memorandum of Understanding between Government Cipher Committee and Vietnam Blockchain Association

On the afternoon of November 30, in Hanoi , the Government Cipher Committee and the Vietnam Blockchain Association signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in research, proposing management policies, promoting the application and popularization of blockchain technology.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Major General Vu Ngoc Thiem, Head of the Government Cipher Committee, highly appreciated the activities of the Vietnam Blockchain Association in recent times as well as the great potential of blockchain technology in the future. According to Major General Vu Ngoc Thiem, the Government Cipher Committee is actively approaching this new technology in the direction of research and technology development, building a foundation for innovation and development of the Vietnamese Cipher sector to move straight to modernity, while contributing to promoting socio -economic development and ensuring national security.

“In that context, the Vietnam Blockchain Association, a non-profit professional social organization, is an important and strategic partner, playing the role of a bridge between state agencies and the domestic and foreign communities, to support and promote research activities, develop blockchain technology and national applications, contributing to positive changes in the 4th Industrial Revolution that Vietnam is pursuing,” Major General Thiem emphasized.

On the side of the Vietnam Blockchain Association, Vice President Nguyen Doan Hung emphasized that the cooperation with the Government Cipher Committee is the responsibility of the Vietnam Blockchain Association in contributing intelligence, human resources, and technology to promote blockchain applications in the country's core areas such aseducation and training, finance and banking, social security, population management, security, national defense, etc. "With a wide range of cooperation from theoretical research to practical applications as well as proposing and promoting the promulgation of a suitable legal framework so that state agencies can gradually manage and promote the process of innovation and development of new technology application products such as Blockchain technology, BigData, AI and IoT. We believe that the cooperation between the Government Cipher Committee and the Vietnam Blockchain Association will be a premise to contribute responsibly to significant changes in the current 4th Industrial Revolution", said Mr. Doan Hung./.
