On the afternoon of June 13, at the People's Committee of Khanh Vinh district, 20 Raglay ethnic students received meaningful gifts - brand new bicycles and gifts from Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest. This is not only a material gift from journalists in Khanh Hoa, but also a spiritual support, helping them shorten the journey to school, firmly on the path of learning.

Gifts carrying hope to school - the hearts of Khanh Hoa journalists. |
In the row of neatly arranged chairs, the eyes of Ho Diem My – a third grader at Khanh Thuong Primary School – shined with joy that was hard to hide. She lives with her grandmother because her mother has to work far away, and her father is no longer around. In the past, going to school was a long journey for her small legs, struggling through each class. “With a bicycle, I won’t have to walk anymore. I will try to study hard,” My said softly, her hands still on the handlebars of her new bike.

My’s story is not an isolated one. Ho Anh Tho – another third grader – was born and raised on the farm, where meals depend on the harvest. Having lost her father since childhood, Tho lives with her mother, who carries a hoe to the farm every day, saving every penny to send her children to school. The bicycle she owns today is not only a means of transportation, but also a symbol of care and love from strangers – journalists with hearts devoted to the community.
Speaking at the program, Ms. Ca Tong Thi Men – Vice Chairman of Khanh Vinh District People’s Committee – expressed her emotion at the gesture of Khanh Hoa Journalists Association, who have always accompaniededucation in the highlands. She affirmed that today’s gifts not only improve learning conditions, but also light up the belief and will to go to school for poor students.
A representative of the Association of Journalists Representative Office, Resident in Khanh Hoa – the organizer of the activity – said that the program was the result of the joint efforts of journalists residing in the area and accompanying benefactors. “This is an opportunity for us not only to write about difficult fates, but also to directly share and accompany the children to overcome adversity,” the representative shared.

The gift preparation work was carefully carried out by the Journalists Association before being handed directly to the poor students who have overcome difficulties. |
Not simply a charity activity, this is also a gratitude from journalists to society - where the press is not only a voice of reflection, but also an extended hand bringing love to places that need it most.
Over the years, the Khanh Hoa Resident Journalists Association has consistently maintained community activities, from awarding scholarships and Tet gifts to providing emergency support to the disadvantaged. Trips to remote areas like this one are part of the long journey that writers quietly undertake alongside their professional mission.
