Lai Chau seeks comments on draft documents of Provincial Party Congress

On the morning of June 20, Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee organized to collect comments on the draft documents of the 15th Provincial Party Congress from former members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, former leaders of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee living in the province.

Accordingly, Lai Chau directed the political report to serve the Congress to be built closely following the Central's orientation, concretized into leadership documents, and implemented at the provincial level. During the construction process, the Provincial Party Committee established a Document Subcommittee and a working group; directed the construction of two specialized reports on socio-economics, national defense and security, and on Party building and the political system as a basis for building the draft political report.

To date, the draft has been completed for the fourth time after receiving comments at many conferences of the Subcommittee, the Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Executive Committee.

Delegates contributed many comprehensive and focused opinions to the draft document, emphasizing the following contents: layout, theme, and motto of the Congress; assessment of results for the 2020-2025 term; goals and development orientations for the 2025-2030 term; key tasks, solutions, and breakthroughs.

Many opinions suggested that the document should be more concise and succinct; clarify specific indicators on the rate of poor households, transportation, health care, and forests; fully reflect the impact of the organizational arrangement on the number of Party organizations and Party members; determine development indicators in line with the general orientation of the Central Committee; exploit the potential of hydropower, rare earth, and forests to attract investment; focus on developing community tourism, border gate economy , and endemic products such as ginseng, orchids, temperate fruit trees, etc.

Delegates contribute opinions to the draft documents of the 15th Lai Chau Provincial Party Congress.

At the same time, it is emphasized that transportation must be prioritized for development to open the way to attract investment; the document needs to correct some errors in sentence structure and word usage; the title needs to be concise and comprehensive.

On behalf of Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee, Head of Lai Chau Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee Le Duc Duc thanked the delegates for their dedicated and responsible opinions; requested the Document Team to absorb and complete the draft; and at the same time hoped to continue receiving comments from former provincial leaders to improve the quality of the document, ensure progress and mobilize the intelligence of the entire political system, towards building Lai Chau to develop greenly, quickly and sustainably.
