Many practical jobs
Every year, on holidays and Tet, cadres and women's union members of Ngu Hanh Son district organize incense offering and gratitude activities to show gratitude to families with meritorious services and people with meritorious services in the district.
In July 2024, the District Association coordinated with the grassroots level to cook offerings for the martyrs' death anniversary at the home of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Mai Thi Tra, Group 2, Hoa Hai Ward and Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Yen, Group 48, Hoa Quy Ward. The members prepared offerings, gathered to cook with the mothers and their families, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere with the mothers.
Chairman of the Women's Union of Ngu Hanh Son district Hoang Tran Chau said that the locality has 2 martyr cemeteries, 1 stele house with the names of martyrs and many families with meritorious services, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, and heroes of the armed forces, so the movement to repay gratitude has been actively responded to and proactively implemented by grassroots associations.
During holidays and Tet, especially on July 27, the District Association and local associations organize delegations to visit Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in the area, to take care of the families of lonely martyrs, to visit association officials who are war invalids... In particular, the District Association and local associations carry out a program of gratitude meals at the families of mothers in the 4 wards.
In addition, the District Association organizes historical witness exchange programs, historical learning competitions both online and in person; organizes programs to return to the source, march to red addresses to educate the tradition for cadres and members.
Thanh Khe District Women's Union has many activities to propagate and enhance revolutionary tradition education for members such as organizing trips to the source, learning about historical relics with the participation of more than 2,644 members at all levels; grassroots associations visit and give gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, seriously wounded female soldiers, children of martyrs, and children of wounded soldiers.
Offering incense at the city's martyrs cemetery, Thanh Khe Heroic Mother Monument, Mother Nhu and 7 Thanh Khe Heroic Mothers Memorial House, Hoa Vang District Party Committee Base, visiting families worshiping Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and Martyrs in the district... Similarly, other districts also have many meaningful activities to educate women's union members about revolutionary traditions...
Building the image of women in the new era
Chairwoman of the City Women’s Union Hoang Thi Thu Huong said that in recent years, all levels of the union have paid special attention to educating women about traditions, revolutionary ideals, lifestyle, culture, and ethics. Activities are organized to arouse patriotism and national pride.
Many practical and meaningful activities have been implemented by the association at all levels such as caring for Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, visiting and giving gifts to families with meritorious services to the revolution, organizing martyrs' death anniversaries; organizing cultural and artistic events, competitions to learn about history and culture... contributing to fostering revolutionary ideals, educating the tradition and morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" for cadres and members, enhancing national pride and self-respect.
In particular, the City Women's Union built a traditional room displaying more than 100 valuable images about the history of formation, construction and growth of the City Union through the ages. People can visit and learn about the formation process and history of the union at all levels.
Ms. Hoang Thi Thu Huong added that in order to continue to enhance the role and responsibility of women in the new period, the City Association advised the City People's Committee to issue Project No. 277/QD-UBND on improving the quality of traditional education, cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities and supporting women's development, meeting the requirements in the new period 2024 - 2028.
The project aims to promote the process of participating in and contributing to the local women's movement, improve the quality of traditional education for women, associated with building dynamic, creative, civilized and friendly Da Nang people; build cultural values, images of Da Nang women with unique identities suitable to the history, culture, traditions and development of the city.
