Da Nang calls for investment in semiconductor laboratory project worth 1,800 billion VND

On May 12, the Department of Finance announced that the city invited interested investors to submit applications for approval of investment policies and approved investors for the project of a Laboratory serving the production of advanced packaging technology for semiconductor microchips in Da Nang .

The total investment capital for the project is VND 1,800 billion, expected to be built on an area of ​​2,298m2 in Da Nang Software Park No. 2 (Thuan Phuoc Ward, Hai Chau District). The project's goal focuses on advanced packaging technology for semiconductor microchips, to practically and importantly concretize the requirements of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation and Decision No. 1018/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on promulgating the Strategy for developing Vietnam's semiconductor industry to 2030 and vision to 2050; at the same time, the project is part of the city's Semiconductor Microchip and Artificial Intelligence Development Project.

The laboratory with a capacity of 10 million products/year will conduct research and technology development in the field of semiconductor microchips and artificial intelligence, including research and development of high-tech electrical and electronic products; provide product testing, inspection, installation, maintenance, consulting, training and technical solutions. The project has a 50-year operating period, expected to be implemented from the second quarter of 2025 to the fourth quarter of 2026. Interested investors can submit their applications directly at counter No. 18, Reception and Result Delivery Department, Da Nang Administrative Center (No. 24 Tran Phu, Hai Chau District) from now until May 24, 2025.
